  • Aaaaargh! I am still up and the weekend was not a good thing...
We attended a Chinese buffet birthday party and the words Chinese and party make for some nasty food choices although I passed on dessert.
So sodium and a libation or 2 and I am still up.
I feel gross and frustrated. It seems once you go off track a bit, it is EXTRA hard to stay on track. It's like your body gets a taste of the "bad" stuff then it craves it. And TOM is visiting. Yikes.

Hope all of you are doing okay!!!

I absolutely agree with you. Getting BACK on plan is just about the hardest thing to me! That day after bad eating is always such a killer for me! You'll come out of it though and before you know it the bad food will be well in your past! Hang in there!
  • I'm back from Dallas with a 3lb gain. Damn Texans. Is that around that time of the month so perhaps I shouldn't place blame all on the rich food and plentiful beers I consumed. Anyway up to 235 - where I started.

  • So, decided to have a high-cal day yesterday to shake things up a bit, and ended up going a bit out of control. So, I feel really disgusting today and wasn't even brave enough to weigh. Oh well. I'm actually looking forward to being on plan and feeling "normal" again today. While I agree that it's often tough to get back on plan after going off of it, today I have that "food hangover" thing - still this late in the day even! - and can't imagine wanting to feel that crappy ever again. Sometimes, feeling horrible can be a blessing.

Josephine - I read your blog the other day. You are an incredibly talented writer. It was such a fun read! And I love reading your supportive posts as well.
  • Is it okay to go ahead and jump in? Not planning on getting to the 5 lbs first but need a place for support. My other little team mates seem to have disappeared

my start weight this morning 232

five pound goal 227<----can't wait to see a number that doesn't include a three
  • So glad you're here. Welcome!
  • Heather -- Welcome back, I bet you had a great time on your trip! And I bet the damage is mostly water and you'll be back down before you know it!

LD -- I'm sorry you had such a rough day and now have a food "hang over", but you've come so far you know you'll be back on your game by tomorrow! Thanks for the compliment on my blog, that's so sweet of you to say!

Welcome Losing4another, jump right in! Even if someone wins soon you can just continue with us to the next 5 pound challenge! There is a nice bunch of people on these challenges and I'm sure we'll keep going for quite a while! I got lots of 5 pound increments to lose, that's for sure!

  • Welcome Team Marseilles!
  • Love Your Name!
I love the diet club avatar. First of all, Fight Club is one of the best books/movies ever! I love it when i meet someone with not a lot going on upstairs who thinks that movie is about fighting! LAUGH OUT LOUD! Anyway, I'm excited to be here and kick ***! **we'll see, but I love a little fire under my *** with a lot of competition. Up for the challenge?**
  • UGH....another hard week of no scale movement for me too. I agree that sometimes when I get off track, I GET OFF TRACK, coming back here and seeing all of you going through the same sorts of things really seems to motivate me that I CAN do it and even if the scale isn't moving, I do feel better about myself when I stay on plan.

So, thank you all for being here to remind me that I can do this and maybe tomorrow (or next week or next month) that scale will nudge downward.
  • well, i have a suggestion to the no movement. If it's truly a non-movement on the scale, try eating really fatty things like bacon, and then nothing after 6 pm and hardly anything the next day but fluids, you're body will love burning the fat, and then keep going into stored fat. I mean, try it if ya want.
  • Morning Losers! I'm still at 193.8. So what's new? I can't wait to get out of the 90s!

    Start Weight: 195.6
    Current Weight: 193.8 (-1.8)
    Challenge Goal Weight: 190.6

If you're a fan of Chuck Palahniuk (and it sounds like you are!) his books Choke, Survivor, Lullaby and Diary are all supposedly being made into movies. I don't know who the directors are (I haven't bothered to look it up) but Choke is supposed to come out later this summer. I can only dream that David Fincher would direct ALL of them!

    dig it!

I wish I could say I was a loser this morning! I was very hungry yesterday, kept to my locarb plan but ate about 3-400 more than usual ( my next stop is daily plate). And my scale showed me how delicate my resistant to weight loss system is. Up to 154.5. Son of a b***tch. Oh well. Reading your emails is giving me a lift. And I sent my kiddles to the park with our nanny- I will catch up with them after an awesome run, with lots of sweat included. I will then spend the day with my muffins (read children, not calorie carb ladden baked goods-nonononono) which will burn many many calories....

The more the merrier in this thread!! Glad to have you here!! Pump up the volume gals, I'm off!
