Well miss mavis, i'm glad to have heard from you -- FYI I'm down to 144 today!! We'll see if that lasts, but I'm excited!! My jeans feel looser!
I know the holidays are hard, but all the more reason to remember your goals, ladies!!

Hey girls!

Things are going well. I figured I would only maintain this month, after my vacation, however, this morning I weighed myself and discovered a 4.5 lb. loss!! I am so excited! That brings my total weight loss so far to 20.5 lbs. This is very exciting for me, because in the past I usually lost motivation after about 12 or 15 lbs. I can really see myself going all the way this time.

lumifan-thanks for your advice. I did take two days off. I did a light treadmill workout yesterday, and my knees were fine. I did an upper body workout today, just to give my legs one more day of rest. I think by tomorrow, I should be able to get back into my regular routine.

I swear that I'm NEVER going to take a week off from working out again! It's too tough. I did my workout today and I had to lower my weights. I was exhausted! I'll pay the hotel's gym fees next time.

Welcome slisette and Leeza!

Chances are nobody will be reading or posting for the next couple of days, but in case you do read: Merry Christmas! Have a wonderful couple of days and enjoy yourselves!

Darby - THAT IS SO ROCKING!!!!! :congrat:

I wasn't so lucky - but I only went up #.4 from the weekend. I need to lose #2.8 this week to hit the New Years goal... I have to be a very, very good girl!!!

I hope everyone's weekend was full of fun, laughter and blessings! Here's some :dust: for the week as we move into a New Year!!!! (TIME FLIES! :df:)

lumifan4ever 12-26-2007 11:49 AM

Enygirl...congrats on coming in second at the office!!! That is wonderful!! I hope santa brought you a new scale like you wanted.

Darby....I'm glad your feeling better and was able to get some light excersizing in. Gotta take care of yourself so you will be ready to go full steam into the new year!!!

Sonya....congrats on being down a pound!! That is great...especially with the holidays. Way to go!!!

Me....I don't know. I'm up today but i'm sure it's from drinking lots of soda and diet soda and eating a big meal last night. Today I am back to drinking water and can't stay out of the restroom. Hoping when i get home tonight, i'll see at least a 3 pound loss. Maybe by morning, i'll be back down to 136.

Weed for today:

W- 64 ounces
E- 1200 clean calories
E- none tonight...gotta go get the kids.
D- just stay on plan and all will be right!!!

Lekhika 12-27-2007 07:57 AM

I'd like to join this challange if I may. My goal is to lose the remaining eight pounds to goal before I go away for a family vacation to Jamaica on April 10th

I hope I can do it!

Enygirl 12-27-2007 08:43 AM

Well Santa didn't bring a scale for me - but I went and bought one for myself. It was SO nice to weigh in first thing this morning and not have any curious eyes glancing around... I'm probably paranoid - but when I get to the #120's - #130's I won't mind people looking :)

I can't believe that the new year is SO close - I have to revamp my goals on Sunday... Here's some :dust: for everyone. :D

mothermavis 12-27-2007 09:07 AM

Eny- congrats on the work contest and the new scale!! I love my scale.

Lekhika- welcome! Please post often. How did you lose all that weight?
You are where I want to end up!!

Darby- You lost on vacation, that is AWESOME!!

Sonja - I'm getting there. 2 of my Christmas pounds were gone today, so it must be water and salt. Soon, I'll be moving down again!!

Leeza - Welcome to you too!! We have a great group and we are always happy to have more!

Lumi- you are doing so well, I continue to watch you and Sonja for my motivation!!

mothermavis 12-30-2007 09:57 AM

Morning all, hope everybody is getting ready to recommit for 2008! I know I am.
I just went to Fitday and charted my weight. I need to lose about 2 pounds a week to meet my goal for our April vacation. I can do this. I have been back OP for the most part since 12/26, was off a lot for Christmas but realized it was NOT worth it to me and I like being able to shop in single sizes. We are going out tomorrow night but I intend to have no more than 2 drinks and to eat intelligently. Maybe salad bar and a grilled or broiled entree.

:newyear:

AprilW 12-30-2007 07:11 PM

I'm up for a challenge. I have 30 lbs to lose by April 1st would be great. I am new to 3FC. Our Spring Break is in March but I will stick with your date.

Enygirl 01-01-2008 02:25 PM

Good Morning and :newyear:

I woke up to a wonderful suprise this morning - I'm down to #185.2 this morning for my "official" 2008 weigh in. Although my actual offical weigh in day is Sunday - and then I was at #187 - so that's what the ticker references.

Another good thing - 8 inches of snow!!! Oh yea - I was out sholveling this morning - talk about an AWESOME arm work out! I'm tired.. well part of that may be the fact that I'm fighting a cold and I was up until 5 am... but none the less - I'm TIRED :tired:

As for this challenge - i don't even remember what I set for my goals in the beginning - I believe that I said that I wanted to hit goal by Memorial day weekend - well now that I'm more in the swing of things - and more realistic about my abilities - my goal is to be at #155 by Memorial day. That's a 30 pounds in 5 months... that seems much more doable (although I'm still pushing for the #55!)

Leeza155 01-02-2008 02:39 AM

Happy New Year!

One of the great things about the new year is that the brunt of the parties are over ;) I had an unprecedented 4 nights out the week before Christmas (well, unprecedented if you start counting after we started having children!) followed by at least one food-oriented celebration each day, ending with an empanada feast thrown by a friend last night. I was down 2.5lbs on Christmas day, but have lost a little of that ground. I think I'll be 173.5 tomorrow, which is .5lb down from when I joined the thread...

I'm jumping back into the swing, and plan on being down to 171 for 1/8. I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's Eve, and thanks for the warm welcomes :)

Darby1 01-02-2008 10:20 AM

Hi Ladies,

Well, I was proud to lose weight while on vacation, and now, not so much. I've only worked out 3 times since I've been back (and I've been back 2 weeks now.) I haven't counted points since Christmas Eve. I need to jump on the scale and see what the damage is.

Is anyone else having a hard time getting back into gear? Please send me a
"virtual" kick in the rear end to get me going!

mothermavis-sounds like you're already on the right track! Keep it up!

Leeza-good job on staying down during this time of year! It's tough.

Enygirl-snow shoveling is great exercise! I had lots and lots of that exercise last winter when we had blizzard after blizzard! We're cheating this year--we went out and bought a snow blower this year. Good job on the loss!

I'm so proud of you all!

lumifan4ever 01-02-2008 12:54 PM

I don't know what my real weight is right now. I got on the scale this morning and it was 141!!! It's also TOM and i have not been on plan nor have i been drinking water. But starting today, i am drinking my water and i am eating on plan. Today i am having a salad for lunch. Breakfast was a bowl of instant grits with a little bit of cheeder cheese. Dinner will be a grilled chicken breast and hopefully some veggies. And if i can make it to my boyfriends to grab a pair of sweat pants, i will probably miss gym class but that doesn't mean i have to miss the gym. I can still jump on an elliptical and do some weights.

I think now that the holidays are over and i'll be home at my place more instead of at the boyfriends, i'll find staying on plan much easier and i'll start losing weight again. But....I have to say that i had a great new years eve and i loved the pics that were taken of me sooooooo much more than the ones from last year. I wish i could post then and share but it will take some time for me to figure out how to scan the pic onto my computer, then put them on a disk to bring to work and upload to photobucket to then put on here. I didn't have my own digital camera because my dd decided to use it at her friends house. so, the boyfriends sister took pics and printed me out a copy.

WEED for today:

W- 64 ounces
E- 1200 clean calories
E- hopefully make it to the gym for either class or 35 minutes cardio and 20 minutes strength training
D- take it one day at a time and stay on plan.

mothermavis 01-03-2008 06:50 AM

Morning everybody, getting myself together after the holidays has been HARD!

Darby:kickbutt: Here you go! Just one minute at a time, that's all any of us can do. I just did my 8 minute abs DVD cuz i was too lazy to do a full tape!!

I am doing all right, need to get back to 151 so I can start moving down again!!

lumifan4ever 01-03-2008 09:51 AM

ooooh....i hear ya mothermavis....I gotta get back down to 136 so i can start heading back down. I think my spring break goal is.....120??? Yeah....well....not if i don't get to some serious working out and eating right mode. But we can do that. We can get back into our working out and eating right mode. We just have to be dedicated and determined and know what is it we really want...a cookie or to be slim???? I WANT SLIM!!!!!

Okay...well....my WEED for today:

W- 64 ounces
E- 1200 calories
E- 30 minutes on treadmill
D- take it one day at a time and keep your eye on the prize each day!!!
