TOday, I was up bright and early (unusual for me! lol) and I got in a workout on the treadmill and then ran some errands. Raining like the dickens here, I have been contemplating doing a treadmill workout but jeesh, I dont know about that! If I don't, I am fine with it as I did it this morning but somehow this helps keeps my spirits up and I have a real incentive right now. Ah we'll see! Hope you all had a great day my ladies and have a super night, keep up the great work!
We are nearing the end of the month.
You are doing great! I am so proud of you!! I have to admit with my extra 30 minutes a day (walking) my house keeping has suffered a bit. ugghhh My dh is great though and is more worried about me getting healthy. I just wish I could find balance.
Like before I was doing great with the walking/exercising and losing, then I started cooking alot more from scratch and slacked off with the walking and was doing alot more cleaning around here etc. I was so proud of myself, BUT my walking suffered as you see when I posted my minutes for the beginning of the year.
Then I started up with the walking again and was doing like 60 minutes a day 5 days a week and was still getting ALOT done around the house and I felt like I had the perfect balance between exercise, and cleaning/home duty's BUT I was still hitting and missing with the cals.
So now I am extremely focused on the walking and am doing 90 minutes and am eating 1600 cals or 1500 and am doing very good this week BUT now my house stuff has slacked off! I normally make 4 loaves of bread a week and muffins and have not even done that! Of course it has been so hot!!!!!
Every day this week I say I am going to vacuum, and haven't. :9 My left sink the garbage disposal is messed up and dh promises to fix it this weekend but that is driving me nuts!
i normally keep the kitchen really clean and hate waking up to a dirty kitchen and the boys got in trouble for breaking something in my front room so they are doing the dishes at nite and are trying so I am getting some help at least but with 5 kids home plus dh and I, I normally do dishes twice a day and keep counters and stove/floor/table clean etc. But they are all home so every time I turn around someone is eating/making a mess, etc......
Bottom line? I have a sink ful of dirty dishes!!! I don't even want to go in there!!! Arrrggghhhhhhhhhhhh.............
I know once I get some more of this weight off my energy will go back up more and I can adjust better to the 90 minute a day thing.
Next week my dh's hours change and I am thinking of trying to start doing more stuff. Like I really need to get in to strength training. We have some pilaties videos and resistance bands, an exercise ball. I also want to start riding the bike a few times a week. Even if my big butt only does 10 minutes at a time, ya know?
My blood pressure is of particular annoyance to me right now. It is 141/77 at the store. Now in the past it was a little higher. I am doing everything I can to eat healthy/exercise etc. Very frustrating and it annoys the heck out of me that if it were 140/77 I would be in the clear! But that 1 little point then it's you got high blood pressure and are at risk for .....blah, blah, blah! Ya know?
That is my primary motivating factor right now. I know in order to get it down further, these pounds just HAVE to come off! Know what I mean? The good thing is I have room to work with, it is not like I am 140 pounds and can't get the number to budge.
Thanx for letting me vent everyone!!!
Dea you are doing great!!! Keep it up!!!! I am at 1260 and if I keep up with just sundays off, I will be at 2070 minutes for the month!!!
