Oh, this is a great forum! I didn't see this board before.

For July, I want to do 1080 stationary bike minutes, and 108 kms walked.

July 5: 50 min walk/jog
July 6: 40 min Turbo Jam
July 7: 35 min walk

bought a new pair of runners today and had to try them out before dinner, because I new that I wouldn't feel like it afterwards.
Plus...I couldn't stay inside to watch all of Live Earth...it was soooo nice outside today!
Have a great Sunday ladies!

Does anyone else try to get exercise in early a.m. to avoid the heat and potentially not doing it at all? It has been 100 out here lately!

it's not quite as hot here in Ontario as it is in California, but yes, I get my exercise done in the morning too. That way, it's done, and I love being outside in the mornings anyway.

goodmorning ladies

Jasmine, yessss. For me, I find it works best when I do my workout after my coffee. It sets my course for the day. The times I skip doing it this way, I have found myself not doing it later on sometimes. Dh and I were walking outdoors early evening but due to real muggyness or now his coming home late (on a project) we have not been doing that. Let me put it this way, I don't rely on that, I do my workout in the morning and then if we go for a walk after, great.......if not, it's ok. Hope you all have a super day, keep up the great work everyone

Dea and FullSteamAhead:

Yeah sometimes I have to DRAG myself out of bed and I would rather be sleeping but with dh up at 5:30 and off by 6:30 and all I can't fall back asleep even if I lay there for a while. lol

We have free t mobile minutes between us so it helps when he is driving to work if I get my butt out the door I have him to talk to for part of the walk.

This a.m. I dragged myself out at 7:30 and was glad I did. It was 69 and is now 85 degrees, though some days it has been in the 100's! I did 90 minutes today, yesterday was cool and cloudy so I got 90 minutes in that day too. Wheee!!!

Plus it is such a nice feeling to get home relax, eat breakfast, then I tell myself whooo! got that off the pate for the day. Other wise you spend the whole rest of the day with it looming over your head and if something comes up, it is easier to not go. Or it gets too hot, or you get busy etc, etc. lol

It is nice outside in the a.m., I agree. Yeah here in the evenings it cools off pretty nice still but by then I just want to sit outside with the family and relax. My usual goal is 60 minutes, if I can get in 90 then even better so that would work with my plan too what you said. But my dh is on his feet all day so we usually don't. Sometimes on the weekends we will. Every one have a great day!

July 1: 60 minutes/ 3 miles walking
July 2: Rest
July 3: 30 minutes/1.5 miles walking
July 4: More Rest
July 5: 30 minutes/ 1.5 miles walking
July 6: 60 minutes/ 3 miles walking
July 7: 60 minutes/ 3 miles walking
July 8: 30 minutes/ 1.5 miles walking
July 9: 60 minutes/ 3 miles walking
July 10: 90 minutes/4.5 miles walking
(3 sets of 10: 2.5 pound weights on each arm)
July 11: 120 minutes/6 miles walking
(3 sets of 10: 2.5 pound weights on each arm)

Edited cause I wound up walking another 30 minutes!

Hi there girls

Jasmine, you are doing super!!!!! Good for you getting up early and doing your workout. I have never been much of an early bird and do mine later on but what you said about getting it out of the way or it looms over your head after, etc. ....that describes how I feel to a T!
Regarding your walks, that's smart of you doing it in the morning before it gets too hot. Dh and I went for a 30 minute walk at 6 p.m and it wasssssss muggy and hot even at that time! I love walking but don't enjoy it nearly as much when the air is that thick. Tonight a front is coming through which is bringing in a dry air mass. Keep up the awesome work ladies

Thanx for the props! I came back to edit my post cause I wound up walking an extra 30 minutes that I wasn't expecting. I had some grocery shopping to do too, I need to go to a different one tomorrow, they got cantaloupe on sale for .15 cents a lb (GREAT for upping your potassium) and tomatoes for .29 cents a pound! But 2 hours? Man that was unexpected and now I am tired. Everyone wants to watch a movie so we will be doing that in a few minutes.

You are doing great too!!! We used to always have a built in pool when I was a kid but not now. Just one to basically get wet in. That is great exercise! What state are you in? I can NOT stand muggy weather!

Everyone keep it up!
