Hi,
Got my 30 min bike in so far today. Having just a really downer day--it's almost hormonal except that I'm past menopause! There is a lot of stress going on that I've not mentioned and it's pretty oppressive. Going to take Sno's advice about the water and keep watching the grain thing. Hoping to do even a bit more exercise today since it helps my mood. Wishing you all a great day! cuppa |
Wednesday again
Hi Tamara: that is so great! When I went out of town to visit my family a while ago, I brought food and stayed 100% on plan--I was too scared to go off because in the past going out of town and to my family was a big binge-fest. So I didnt want to even open that door! Best of luck!
cuppa: I so relate to what you mentioned--I too have problems with stress and feeling down. It can be really hard to lose weight while all that is going on--but it doesnt feel good to quit either. I think that is part of the reason it took me two challenges to get back on track. I think it really helps to post your motivations for losing and the obstacles to staying on plan--that way we can support you and help you brainstorm on how to get it going the way you want to! :dust: |
Oh yeah camping was awesome!! We camped at Alder Lake near MT. Rainer and the views are breathtaking, lots to do and see and tons of walking and hiking. I love to camp, get up in the sunshine, cook outside, have a nice drink by a fire in the evening. Thrilling Thursday! 11/11
Hi all:
hmm--where is everyone this week--at the beach? :dancer: today is going great--I ate cherries as my fruit. I get 12 cherries per serving. Also did my walk and then moved rocks for a little while afterward. So all I have is my leg exercises and I am done! Hey how is everyone doing on the July Challenge? I havent seen many numbers posted--come on--even if you didnt do all of the days, let us know how you are doing! I have my cheat meal for lunch tomorrow--I am determined not eat enough to gain weight--I want to lose again this week! Have a great day all! Sno |
TOM'S currently here so i'm not going to do my weigh in until monday. So i'll let you all know then. I have been consistent with my exercise and eating so i'm hoping for at least a 1 pound weight loss so i'd reach the half way mark in my weight loss goal.
MMM i love cherries, i'm going to have to pick myself up some for the weekend. |
Ok I am checking in!! I am still here snow, I didn't go anywhere and I am not!! I am going to start checking in everyday on here. Can I post what I have eaten too? I think that might help me to be accountable and also to get feedback from all of the lovely ladies here. I have been slacking since the 4th of July with my eating and working out, or maybe I am just having a bad day!! I feel fat and gross! EEWW
I am starting school in September and I want to be a hottie, so I really need to get in gear and work work work to get this weight off! |
posting
Hi all:
Elegant: wise not to weigh during TOm! Good luck with making that halfway goal! Helpmelose: I think that is a good idea--of course post what you eat--whatever works! Sno |
Oh something I forgot to mention, I went bra shopping yesterady. I had to get measured as it's been a while and I knew I had dropped down in cupsize. soo... March 5th (when I started my healthy lifestyle) my breasts were a size 38DDD, and now i'm a 36D! I'm pretty happy, but I'm crossing my fingers that I don't go down any more since I wouldn't feel like myself (I've been a D size or larger since I was 13). It was nice to be able to find a nice fancy bra and not have to pay an arm and a leg for it, I tell you that's for sure! My boyfriend is also taking me out shopping on saturday for afew new tops as a congratulations for hitting the 30pound loss park (15 more to go!). When I reach my goal he's promised to buy me a year long gym pass to the gym of my choice and also buy himself one to keep me motivated. :) I'm pretty happy!

TGIF,
i've been very busy this summer so far and it'll probably continue until Sept. Everyone sounds like they're keeping in touch with their goals. I had one bad day this week but got back into it right away so I'm officially 10/13 days in July. I've been 100% with my exercise goals. This is so much better then last summer. I gained about 10-15lbs last summer because of social events, camping etc. if I can keep it up until the fall I know i'll make my goal weight before the New Year. Things come off pretty slowly after I get to 150. Staying on track and getting back on track quickly seem to be the differance this time around. Have a great weekend everyone, Nina |
Hi guys. Haven't updated in since last week! My weight won't budge and I don't know why. I have been really good with my calories..haven't gone over once! And I am excercising again finally too. GRRRRRR. I eat like crap the week before and lose 3 pounds. Go figure. Hoping for a miracle before Sunday!

Hey girls! I am new to this forum and I was wondering if it is too late to join the labor day challenge? I hope not because it is still over a month and a half until labor day:)
A little about me- I have just moved to BC and I am an RN, I have struggled with weight for my entire 22 years, and I want to make it to a health and happier weight and way of life. I have been successful in the WW diet in the past, but have recently regained the weight plus more! So I feel disapointed in myself. I am making it my goal to loose 20lbs by labor day, bringing my weight to 175lbs. I have been reading some of the post and it seems like the support, motivation and inspiration is really helping! |
Welcome Jen!!!! We're glad to have ya! I'm 22 and a new graduate RN too=) Good luck!
Well, I got on the scale today and I have officially lost 20lbs.. yay!!! Each year I lose 20 and gain it back quickly. But, that is over! I'm sticking with it this time. I hope to lose another 22 pounds by labor day. I've lost the 20lbs since I started on June 10th! I Know I can do it this time! I'm not gonna give up. It's a lifestyle change, not a diet!!!! Congratulations to everyone! You are all doing so great! Sock-Don't worry.. Once the plateau is over, you'll drop a lot all of a sudden. Don't give up hope. Talk to you guys later. Hopefully, I'll drop another pound or two by monday's weigh in. =) |
Fabulous Friday!
11/13 :cheer::cheer:
Hi all; well today was my "treat" meal and I ended up just having a slice of pizza and a diet coke. I didnt want to eat anything else because I dont want to stop the weight loss. It didnt make me feel like binging but I did feel hungry pretty quickly. I guess I am used to the balanced nutrisystem meals. Saw Harry Potter and that was fun. Got a massage tomorrow. Yay! I love how we are all talking about breaking old patterns of gaining weight back! Lets really do it this time! How about you tell me what is different this time!! :welcome: to Jen--of course you can join--the more people to support us the better. And yes, I think it works. I can so relate to the disappointment--it gets so you dont even trust yourself because it is you who lets yourself down. But lets stop the cycle together! Sock: hang in there and binge on water--it will help move it. This is just how it works! At least you didnt gain--sometimes when I exercise a lot I gain initially then have a big loss, Dont know why. You can do this! :carrot: Elegant: great NSV! :bravo: Wearing a smaller size just makes things easier. Nina: :cheer: on your 10/13 and breaking the cycle of summer weight gain! Neesy: :congrat: 20 lbs is awesome--it is usually a size for me! 22 by labor day--great goal! |
:welcome3: Jen - I am glad you are here, we are all here to help each other, I think this labor day challenge is great! I make sure to come on at least 1x a day to read and see how everyone is doing, it helps to keep me in check!
Well yesterday 7/13, was on OK day for me. I still feel gross! Does anybody have any suggestions on toning up the back of your thighs and calves, I don't like the way mine look, they need help!! I am hoping walking will help but any other suggestions will be great! I think that is what is bothering me most the past couple days, I feel like my pants fit funny, they seem to bunch up behind me knee, it is kinda hard to explain. What I ate: 3 veggie breakfast scrambles 100 calorie cookie pack handful of reduced fat potato chips (they actually were really good) handful grape tomatoes This is where I was bad!!! Applebees: 3 pieces of veggie patch pizza small sirloin steak w/ mushrooms mashed potatos (didnt eat all of them about 3/4 of them) asparagus I hope everyone has a great weekend!! And wishing us all a great weigh-in on Monday!! Snow - I think your treat day went really well - only 1 piece of pizza - that is awesome!! No wonder that weight is just coming off! You will have another great weigh-in!! |
Snow posed the question as to what's different this time from other weightloss attempts of the past:
For me, a change of attitude about my lifestyle. A diet isn't a quick fix to lose weight, it is a way of life. The word diet is defined as " The usual food and drink of a person or animal"..I just have to learn to make better food and drink a part of MY diet. Also this wonderful support group at 3FC. You guys make this so much easier to deal with. |
