Brandy - I totally HAVE heard of freezing fog, my brother says it's really common between Spokane and Seattle, he named a town but I totally forget. It sounds pretty nasty!
Congrats on 10 years! Thats a very sweet story, to me it sounds romantic! What did you take in college? TOM drives me insane, I take the pill back to back to avoid most of it, but I am on a new pill and it's REALLY not working so well! TOM manages to sneak thru and I get it even though I'm on the pill.. the cramps aren't that bad though. Today I'm back to no sugar, I had the WORST headache I've had in a while. Who knew you could get a headache from sugar, not nice!! Have a good one :) -Aimee |
Hi gals! Courtnie - congrats on the weigh loss! Yee-haw!!! I had a great weekend and then I had a cousin from Cal. come home iwth me until yesterday. So...I haven't been on the computer at all. For the most part I think I ate pretty well. Several ofu s are ondiets. I hav enot seen my niece since this weekend last year. She has lost 50 lbs!!! I am so proud of her! I ahve not weighed in yet - kind of afraid even though I did pretty well. My daughter is better and started a new medication last night. Hopefully this one will work!
Brandy- how's the eye? |
Hi gals. Its gonna be a wonderful day. I'm gonna go to the art store and try to make some of my ideas come to life this afternoon. I'm definetly feeling that creative spark.
Aimee-Withdrawl headaches are the worst! I hope your body adapts to the no sugar quickly so the headache eases. Hang in there. I was a music major. My bachelors degree is in Harpsichord and Piano performance and my Masters degree is in Music Theory and Literature. Its kinda sad that I dont use my masters degree to much. Every once in a while I'll start explaining something to a piano student and I see their eyes glaze over and I realize I'm delving WAY to deep and I've lost them. fatbegone-glad your weekend was fun. Congratulations for staying so good also! That's wonderful. It must have been encouraging to see your neice after such a big loss. It totally motivates me to see what others have been able to achieve. And look at you, 15 pounds is wonderful! |
fatBgone - wb!
Brandy - the headache is gone :) It didn't last long, thank goodness! Wow a music major, thats impressive! Yah its sad when we don't always get to use the things we learned in College, but it's still nice having the knowledge! I've been flipping thru pictures lately, wow, I've gone thru some bad hair, and some GREAT hair. I am completely decided that I'm going to stick with short hair, like no longer than shoulder length, it just doesn't suit me. I also got to watch my weight slowly creep up, I guess in a year I'll have pictures of me shrinking back down right? I say a year because thats about how long it takes me to actually deal with the pictures I get done - they mostly sit in a shoe box. heh. I am also down 1 pound this week, 220 now officially. So close to my first goal!!! I cannot wait to move on to my next one! Hope all is well with you all! And what happened to everyone and posting?? -Aimee |
Surprise-surprise! I lost 4 lbs! What a treat! Brandy - I need some advise since you are feeling that creative spark. I am starting up my own business on the side. It is a service actually where people give you pictures and you make them into a DVD with a musical background, titles etc... Next weekend I am debuting at a craft show. Any ideas on how to make a cheap and effective back drop so that I draw attention? My table will only have 2 TV's constantly running examples of the videos I have made. (Another way to deal with those pics Aimee!) Aimee- this time next week I'll bet we will be celebrating your goal! Go girl!
|
fatbgone - congrats on the 4 pounds! how awesome!
I am down 2 this week, that is a lot for me! putting me 159! omg i dont remember ever being this low! |
Hey Gals! I am having THE most lazy Saturday ever! I don't know that I really accomplished anything. I ate healthy though!
So, I had a weird experience tonight! My neighbour got her belly button pierced, now... she's nearly 300 pounds.. but good for her. So I went with her and her REALLY slutty friend, the girl was wearing the shortest skirt ever with a white tank top and a really bad bra. Tell me who wears that in February?!? Here's the thing I don't get - how come I am a little jealous of the 300 pound girl? I want my belly button pierced, but I want to be thinner before I get it done. I don't get myself. My weight has been really bothering me today and yesterday, I am SO tired of being this size. It feels like it's taking forever to get smaller. I think thats also because my size 16 jeans are still fitting fine, I want them to be big!! Grr, how come this takes SO long?!?! Courtnie - congrats on the 2 pounds :) fatBgone- the slide shows are a very cool idea! I always get ideas when I wander through craft stores, you should totally go and get some ideas! I sure can't wait to celebrate getting under 220! Congrats on your weight loss as well, you rock!! -Aimee |
Courtnie- congrats! I can't imaging 159 - I'll probably feel like I'm anorexic and wasting away to nothing - lol!
Aimee - you are almost your mini-goal! Why don't you set up a weight for which you can reward yourself with a belly button pierce? I know what you mean - I would need to be much thinner before getting a belly button pierce. Sounds like quite the event today- I don't know anyone who wears a tank top in Feb- her friend sounds like quite a humdinger :) Why don't you find a pair of jeans which you are able to buttom/zip but still to tight to wear comfortably. Hang them in your closet where you can see them. Every week try them on to see if you have lost enough for them to be worn comfortably. When this happens, pull out another pair which is too tight. This way even small loses can be provide an NSV. I also have a pair of jeans hanging which is my ultimate goal. Right now I can't get them up to my hips - lol! I have a long ways to go, but today my short term jeans can be worn comfortably and I picked another tight pair. Just an idea. |
Hi gals, glad everyones weekend was nice. Mine was good too.
Courtnie-Congrats!!!! You've left the 160s. You must be feeling so fabulous. Great job and keep going. Aimee-WooHoo! You're so close to your mini. I know you'll get there very soon! It is frustrating how we lose. I lose weight very slowly in my waist, so for me to change a jeans size takes forever also. I dont have any stellar advice to make it all better. I'd just say try to focus on all the good that you have accomplished. You've lost over 30 pounds and that is incredible. Do you have pics from before you started losing? Compare them to how you look now and I'm sure you'll see some changes you can be happy with. I do understand how depressing the slow progress can be but you have to focus and just keep doing it. fatbegone-4 pounds!!!! That is amazing. Congratulations. I am terrible at doing displays for shows. It is my biggest weakness so I dont have any great ideas. Usually the booths that draw my attention are backed in lots of swags of tulle or other fancy fabrics. That always looks nice but it detracts from my items because it overpowers them. I hope you come up with something you like. |
I'm down 2 pounds for the week. Its getting so close.
|
Brandy - you ARE so close!! Just 4 pounds to go.. wow.. I cannot wait until I get there too. Do you realize you've lost 55 pounds?!? What kind of celebration are you going to have when you reach goal? I thought about the picture thing, and I managed to avoid the camera pretty good when I was my largest. Not only that, but every picture I would have? I deleted off my digital camera.. silly silly me! My legs aren't getting much smaller either, I bet thats because I stopped running though.. they don't seem so toned. I gotta get back to exercising.
fatBgone - I like the jeans idea! I think I might search for a pair of size 15 jeans, and try them on every couple of weeks. I do have a pair of pants for work, I'm waiting for them to fit and try them on every couple of weeks as well. Thanks! -Aimee |
Brandy- yeah!! Way to go! HOw are you feeling? Did your headaches stay away?
Wow- you two have lost a combined 85+ lbs - incredible! |
Howdy all. I'm back from my morning walk. It was nice out (30F) but the sidewalks were very slippery. I walk about 1.5 of the 4 on the sidewalk and do the rest in the road of a very small subdivision.
Yesterday was a busy one but I stayed on track throughout the day. I dont have much planned today. I need ot return some library books and do a few errands. I dont have to be at work til about 7 so it'll be a very easy day. Hope you're all having a great week. fatbegone-My headache broke Mon. morning. It is so nice to not have one so its been a wonderful week! Aimee-Why did you stop running? The weather has really hurt my running, but I still occasionally can get it in. I'm looking forward to ramping it back up though. Its such a great workout. I'm not sure what I'll do when I hit goal. I hadn't really thought about it. Any suggestions?? |
This is just a short one from me today, I've been exercising and so thats taking away from my freetime. Which means I get less time to post :(
Brandy - I went walkign this morning too, in the SNOW, snow in Feb in Vancouver is weird.. we got soaking wet (my friend and I). But it was nice to get out :) I stopped running because when I was just starting south beach phase 1 it just sucked all the energy out of me, my body was trying to adjust to no sugar and then to add exercise was just too much. And then the weather has been SO weird, I haven't been driving much because of the snow.. and I got lazy. I am back into exercise though, and plan to start running next week. What to do when you hit goal? I am getting my belly button pierced, I think they are sexy.. heh. Some people buy jewlery, I also love that idea. Or even a vacation! fatBgone - hows it's going lately? How's your daughter? TOM issues not so much fun :( I am off to work.. have a good one! -Aimee |
Hi gals, hope you're all doing well. I'm good and had a nice day yesterday. I'm going to the lab today for the blood draw for the new tests the dr. ordered. Say a quick prayer for me please. I'm hoping that the protein c level has fixed itself. I'll worry about the other things later. If that one thing is better I'll be relieved.
Aimee-Ah, the running and eating everything in sight 2 hours later syndrome. I know that one very well. It is hard to master exactly what your body needs without going over. I'm sure on phase 1 of just about any plan its a really bad combination. I'm glad to hear your getting back into the exercise though. I really can't lose without doing both diet and exercise. Your goal ideas are great, but I already have a belly button ring. I've had it for years although it was taken out for about a year while I was at my biggest. I've also been on a jewelry buying pattern lately. In the past year I've bought myself a diamond ring, emerald earrings, emerald ring, a gold belly ring, a tanzanite ring and some gold dangling earrings. (Yes, there are advantages to being a bit older and thus better off financially). What I'd really like to do is go away for a weekend but its my busy time at work and I dont think I can swing it. |
