'Crap-Free' Lifestyle
Hello Ladies-
As we embark on this new lifestyle (not diet), we are going to have days in which we do not do as good as we know we can. I think we owe it to ourselves, since we have worked so hard to get to where we are, to take care of what we put in our bodies. I have been a maintainer for 2 years, but I still feel like food controls me--when it should be ME controling my food. So, I have developed a new lifestyle for me called, "The Crap-Free Lifestyle" Here are some of my guidelines. I would like it if you ladies would contribute some of your own guidelines.
* I do NOT have to get full after any meal or snack--I simply have to feed my body.
* Make Healthy choices at all times.
* Do not fall to temptation: Eating 'clean' may not feel good at the moment, but it will after the meal is over. Eating 'dirty' might feel good at the moment, but I will feel terrible afterwards.
* Significantly cut back on sugar.
* Eat 6 times a day--do not skip any meal or snack.
* Watch portions.
* Eat one 'big' meal a day
* Eat as much natural food (fruits, veggies, grains/wheat, low dairy, chicken/turkey) as possible
* Stay away from pasteries, candy, bread and anything fried/or that gives empty calories
* Have pasta and rice in moderation.
* If I am in a situation in which Im surrounded by unhealthy choices, I will eat something that will provide nutritional value to my body.
* Increase protein as much as possible.
* Engage in as much of 'natural excerise' as possible.
* Do the math: Watch calories!
My goal is to be in control of my food--I do not want food to control me.
