Default It's impossible :( (pounds mentioned)

Hi...don't want to trigger anybody...I've had off-and-on bingeing the past few weeks...but for three solid weeks I gained only one pound, which for the end of pregnancy is very very low.

Well, I had a big binge three days ago and this morning got up the nerve to weigh.

I AM UP SIX POUNDS. SIX.

Out of nowhere! That was since the last time I weighed, the morning of the binge.

I feel horrible. How could this have happened? Is it water? I feel like screaming. Nobody can gain six pounds from one day of eating!

Mel, it's only a number, sweetie. It could be water, it could be your scale was a little off on a weigh-in, it could be any number of things. Keep it in perspective. You're going to have a beautiful baby in a few days, and soon you'll be able to focus more on your body.
And yes, I've gained six pounds in one day, and I'm sure we're not the only ones here. I'll bet when you weigh tomorrow, you'll be down a few pounds again.
Sending you big hugs... ... hang in there, girl... you're almost there.

i'm sure its only water! or the pregnancy...to gain 6 lbs you would need to eat 21,000 EXTRA calories!! that is ALOT of calories.....so I bet it is that baby or maybe just water.......If you stopped drinking water as much your body will store extra water (and water makes pounds quickly) to guard against water starvation.....One of the many things i have learned here

Eh heh heh heh!!! Very true! So I'm bound to lose at least 8 pounds, anyway...

You know, I was thinking. Even while my calories were back "down" again following the binge, they were very salty calories. Like mini pot pies and frozen burritos. Bad stuff. Could that be part of it?

I'm back to fruit and better foods now (I love fruit).

Three more days till Evan...I can't believe it...my baby is coming soon.....
