Thumbs up Chicks in Control April Exercise!!

It's April, girls!! March was a great month for us exercise-wise. Let's make April as good as, if not better!!

My goal this month is to commit to three exercise classes a week, alternating with three run/walk days. (assuming I can put this darned cough behind me)

I'm going to close the March thread... congratulations to all of us who put so much into working towards a healthier lifestyle!

Hello Ladies

I finished off March with 1888 minutes which includes cardio and weights time....So my goal this month is to reach over 2,000 mins.....Cardio everyday for at least 30 mins and weights everyday(rotating upper body one day and lower the next)...I also need to put in more effort on my abs...I keep forgeting to work them out and that my worst area( how could I forget them)....

Ellis - great goal..I know you can do it..

Ladies we all had a great month last month...lets keep it up this month...So let's all start off with a bang...

Also thanks to everyone for posting daily and for helping keep us all going strong...all the encouragement really means alot to us all

Hi all!

I'm sort of new here - a bit of a lurker, but I wanted to add my encouragement to the group. Although I'm a bit of a slacker, I've really enjoyed starting my exercise routine. I have tons of energy and I stay away from the food I normally might be eating if I weren't so busy.

I take a spinning class 3 times a week, and this week I start my H20 class (swimming with an aerobic exercise component). I also have my yoga gear for classes that start in 2 weeks.

I know that if I can do this - challenging myself and my new body, anyone can. The benefits are so worth it.

Good luck to all and keep up the EXCELLENT work!!

Kitty

Okay, I started April with my workout at Curves this morning.
So, I'm going to commit to 3 days a week, 30 minutes a day for April. Slow and easy to start.

plb - 4000 crunches... my abs are already aching in sympathy... but you're on... I'll see if I can do that too!

Rose - good job! My friend really adores Curves... keep up the good attitude...

Kitty - over 100 pounds! You don't sound like a slacker to me! heheheee... I, too, found that coming here to report really helped me commit to getting some kind of exercise every day. I don't want to come in with my head hanging low and report nothing!

April goals for Lala - Well, I have, in my lunacy, committed to 4000 crunches with plb... and I'm already a day behind! Ack! I am going to step up my stretch routine in the mornings. I am going to stick with weights on MWF and elliptical on T TH Sat (or Sun). I will get in any extra walking when and where I can. Of course, this is totally subject to change if I can get myself a job... but I'll still do something!

I took Saturday off (except for AM stretch), we went to visit family, so I will be doing yesterday's work today. We were supposed to get back to working on the sprinklers today, but it looks like we're going to get rained on...

Happy Sunday!

hello everyone!
well yesterday afternoon i drug out my old pedometer and dusted it off, finally read the little instruction thingy and slapped it on. i was very disappointed to see that i only moved about 1000 steps, but i sat back and realized i only had it on a few hours and it was after my cleaning and shopping etc. so i put it on again first thing this morning and i am already over 5000 today and i still have a lot of laundry etc to do. shocking!! so this week i will walk at least 5000 hopefully 6000 everyday. i also went outside and did some raking and yard work it is just a beautiful day here today!! i hope you are all moving around!!! have a great Sunday everyone!!

april 1 = 60 minute water aerobics
10 minute water jog
april 2 = 60 min yard stuff, 5000+ steps

Default Sunday recap

Morning everyone!

Yesterday was... more yardwork, AM stretch, 150 crunches, 5 lb dumbbells. Lots of running 'round the house (inside and out) so I got many steps (for a weekend day) - 8396 steps, so just under 2 miles. I was pretty wiped out by the end of the day and wound up falling asleep in my chair at something like 8:30 last night....

Everybody keep up the good work! Happy Monday!

what a great job everyone is doing!!! keep at it girls!! i just got back from a butt kicker water aerobics class. sometimes i get these sissy instructors and it is fairly easy, tonight was not one of those times!! i'm feeling good though, totally worked out! i wore the pedometer to work today. i work in an office setting and spend the majority of my day at my desk so i barely squeaked in my 5000 steps. it wasn't as easy as i thought, good reminder having it on though. i got up and took several "walks" around the office today just to get in some steps. i guess that is the gentle reminder i neededto get myself moving a little more.
hope everyone has a great week!!!

april 1 = 60 minute water aerobics, 10 minute water jog
april 2 = 60 min yard stuff, 5000+ steps
april 3 = 60 min water aerobics, 5000 steps

ok this is my first time to make a goal!

my goal for this month is to do 30 mins of cardio 6 days a week and then muscle excersises atleast 3 days a week.
i would like to stick to 1200 calories a day as well. ive been trying to eat a lot of soup for this reason.

now im not good at keeping my goals so i would really like to be hounded about it if at all possible.
