Hi all! Well, I thought I'd gotten through vacation okay, but I have been stuck since then. No movement on the scale at all for two weeks... I think - no, I know that my portion sizes have crept up. Not to anything really monstrous, but still just a bit too much. That's going to have to be my focus for this week. I even got in about 3 hours more of exercise this week than I have in the past, but it's just a moderate walk, so not enough intensity to counteract the extra calories I'm consuming at meals.

It's okay, I'm not upset about this. A little disappointed that I'm letting myself slip, but it's bound to happen. Vigilance slips over time and you sometimes need a wakeup call to remember to stand your post at attention!

Anyway, hope everyone has a swellerific weekend! I believe I will be out back digging up more of the sprinkler system in a bit... Bummer... it's a beautiful day... but at least I'll be outside...

DANG! I just heard a crash and went to investigate. My cats broke the big ceramic elephant that I had out on my screened porch. It came with the house, it wasn't like a really special item, but I sort of liked it...

hello everyone!
so i went to my aqua class at the Y yesterday, my boob popped out of my suit during class thank god it was a small class (4) and i was facing the other direction!! i just bought the darn thing a little over a month ago it was the ugliest suit you ever saw! it was the only one at the store that fit me though size 22/24 it was black and white and totally gawdy with this big skirt attached that floated to the top of the water whenever i exercised. can you tell i didn't like it?? so i after the class i went to the store and found a regular old stylish new bathing suit in a size 18 that fits like a champ and i don't feel totally self conscious in!!! i wish i would of taken my measurements at the start of this whole thing, but i was too chicken to pull out the tape measure!! i am just so glad to see that old suit go away!!

dalai- great evaluation and great attitude! keep tweaking things and you'll get back to where you were. don't be too hard on yourself, the stress we put on ourselves is the worst!!

nildee fantastic job!!! for julie too!! you are doing great!!! keep up the great work!!

tracy great job on the good workout. doesn't it feel good to just move around sometimes??

Lala, it's easy to let things slide a little, isn't it? And we still think we're doing "pretty well", but wonder why we're not losing. Good for you for recognizing the problem and getting on top of it.
And I'm sorry about your elephant.

Jodi, too funny. Your new suit sounds fabulous... get rid of that boob popper!!

I've got a bad cough. I woke up at 5 this morning with a terrific headache. I'm going to stay home today, drink lots of liquids, and just be good to myself. Eat totally healthy. Sleep...

Hi everyone!! Well.. Ju and I just did the Walk away the pounds DVD it was great!! Great work out!! Our neighbor came over and did it with us. It was so much fun.. 3 miles!!!

ellis- i knew you'd get a kick out of that! take care of the cough hon! so nice to hear you being so good for yourself!

so i just got back from my aqua class in the new suit!! it was wonderful! all important parts stayed put and i didn't have to spend anytime tugging at it lol. i had my weigh in today and am down 1.5 for the week. you know i almost can't believe i am doing this! this is the start of week 5 for me and i am going to concentrate mainly on some form of exercise everyday this week. even if it is just a short brisk walk.

hope everyone else is doing fine!! have a good one!!

Well, I'm finally moving down again, albeit, not by much. I'm down to 262.5, which is a half pound down. But, I'll take it, it's my first loss at all since we got back from vacation.

ok i am having a bit of trouble with the exercising everyday thing. still trying to find another activity that doesn't feel like a chore to me. i have walked a bit more the past 2 days but still not as much as i wanted to. maybe i'll stick the WATP dvd in tomorrow am before my coffee....it helps if i get started before i am too awake (i don't resist as much when i don't know what's going on lol)

aaaaaaaaaargh!!! It used to be when I was sick that I'd lose weight, but now that I'm older, I manage to stuff myself really well. As well as not exercising.
I'd lost at least a pound last week, but I'm up two today. CURSES!!!!

Ahem. Pardon my rant.
Okay, I'm back on track today. I have to weigh in tomorrow, and I'm going to eat so well today. SO well.

Lala, I'm glad you're moving back down, hon! Good going!!

Jodi, get your butt in gear. Of course you hate doing it, sweetie. Bite the bullet! Eat the frog! Tough love and a hug, coming your way.

I'm having Fibre 1 cereal, yogurt and blueberries for breakfast. It's so yummy and healthy. I need to remember this combination when I'm dying for something sweet.

ok so i ate my frog today!!! also, after eating said frog i grabbed a schedule of other classes at the Y and i will pick one to try next week. i like the class thing (possibly misery loves company?) i never thought i would be a class exercising type person but i guess i am. it is far better to me to grunt and sweat in front of a bunch of strangers than it is for me to grunt and sweat in my living room at home. go figure?? self discovery is such an amazing thing!!

ellis i love fiber 1 i eat it almost every day. i'll have to try the erries and yogurt sounds yummy!! sorry to hear about the illness gain, doesn't that just burn you?? i kno the last cold i had i ate myself into an oblivion...trying to comfort?? who knows?? good luck with the weigh in tomorrow!! glad to hear you are back on track today.
