Default Slightly Healthful Binge.

Okay, today I got really upset/depressed and I was very close to binging on something bad like Honey Nut Cheerios or Japanese rice. Well, I knew that if I did that I'd feel like crap about it all day, therefore making things worse, right?

So I binged on natural, butter-free popcorn!! I ate a whole bag, but it was only 300 calories so it wasn't so bad, especially since it was about lunch time and popcorn is allowed on my diet. Has anyone else done this before? I still felt slightly guilty so I cut back on everything else I ate this afternoon.

<3 you all.

I eat a bag of popcorn from time to time. That's not a binge. It's a snack. You worked it in your calories. Sometimes I feel the need for the really fattening stuff like greasy hamburgers, but I work it in my calories too.

I think it's great that you reached for a healthier snack! Any positive change is good, regardless of how big or small it is. And I think that's a huge change. You were mindful of your choices... congratulations!!

I agree, i don't think that was a binge. You ate a healthy snack and worked the calories into your daily diet. Sounds like even though you thought you were doing something bad, you actually took control of the situation and turned it into a positive. Good job.

Well, the point was that instead of gorging myself on Cheerios I found a better alternative ^^* Plus, well, for me to eat an entire bag of popcorn is just unusual. By halfway through I'm pretty much done.

You don't like popcorn?! Wow!! I don't think I've ever met anyone who didn't like popcorn. I felt the same way about green tea, actually. I wanted to be able to drink it, especially when I was living in Japan where people drink tea like we drink water or pop, but I couldn't do it even though I knew it was good for me. I thought it was so gross!!

Then I discovered Diet Lipton Green Tea with Citrus!! It doesn't taste so much like tea, still has all the antioxidants, and is calorie free. Yay. I probably still can't drink regular tea, though.

Eating a bag of popcorn is totally ok from time to time. I found a bag (big bag) that has only 4 points (I do WW) for the entire thing so if I find myself heading to the vending machine, I'll get that and forego my afternoon snack (usually around 3-4 points) so there is no harm done.

But, it does have some sodium so I have to watch it there.

So, feel very good about yourself - You made a great choice that won't be an end-all to your dieting
