* This is my third post on 3FC.
I'd like to join this challenge. :) I need to exercise more. Good Luck to all of you! |
Meg, welcome! It's great to have you here. Jump right in, and GET EXERCISING!! :woops: :running:
I had my second weight class yesterday. It was GREAT, and I'm feeling very positive. (after having a bit of a binge with some cookies yesterday) I'm a little superstitious, and I shouldn't post this, but I asked the trainer to weigh me last night, and it looks as though I've lost three pounds!! :hat: |
I ended up walking for 60 minutes total yesterday instead of 40! Instead of heading straight to the apartment after getting off the subway, I walked around for a while.

well I only got in 23 min yesterday and none on monday..I've been sick the last couple of days...yesterday I lost my voice and today I still can't talk...I am at a total of 515 min for the month so I think I will still hit my goal of 1000 minutes...
everyone is doing great...keep up the good work and thanks to everyone for the motivation. |
I went for a short 1km walk (pulling a wagon that had 2 of my youngest children in it) with my 4 children after school today.
|
I went to the gym yesterday for the first time in over two weeks - managed to do 34 minutes on the elliptical, but had to be on a very low resistance level. I managed on level 5 for about 15 minutes and then had to bump down to level 3 just so I could breath. Ugh, I am so tired of being sick:( .

I'm at 636 minutes of exercise...wow I can't believe I've done that much already...I've been riding my stationary bike on level 1 only I find I can ride faster and get a better workout than when I up the level..also with the level higher it hurts my legs...
|
I 've been sick ,but now I'm better and need to get my butt moving again!
I only have 385mins of my 1000 min goal :( I Hope all of you are feeling and doing good. |

Hello and happy Monday to all who sweat! It's always encouraging to see people working toward their goals.
Winter arrived briefly here (we're in a warming trend again and should hit 50 in a few days), with air temps around zero accompanied by our lovable Nebraska winds! Oh, yes -- but spring is getting closer by the day. Hurry, hurry! Let's see if you can get here before winter tries another comeback! I did an intentional rest day yesterday for the first time in a long while. My body loved it because I've really kicked it up here lately. So I think I'll try to get them in on a regular basis. Here is February so far -- Feb. 1 -- 60 minutes step aerobics Feb. 2 -- 57 minutes circuit training (high step) Feb. 3 -- 54 minutes floor aerobics/abs Feb. 4 -- 69 minutes step aerobics Feb. 5 -- 46 minutes Pilates Feb. 6 -- 58 minutes step aerobics Feb 7 -- 58 minutes The Firm (weights/cardio) Feb 8 -- 60 minutes step aerobics Feb 9 -- 55 minutes functional fitness (weights w/cardio) Feb 10 -- 52 minutes (42 hi-lo aerobics, 10 quick Pilates routine) Feb 11 -- 78 minutes (40 step aerobics, 38 toning & stretch) Feb 12 -- 33 minutes cardio dance Feb 13 -- 54 minutes step aerobics Feb 14 -- 60 minutes "functional fitness" TLT workout Feb 15 -- 60 minutes The Firm Super Cardio Feb 16 -- 58 minutes The Firm/weights Feb 17 -- 54 minutes (48 high-low aerobics, 6 abs) Feb 18 -- 82 minutes (42 step aerobics, 40 body toning) Feb 19 -- REST (intentionally scheduled day) Feb 20 -- 60 minutes (54 step aerobics, 6 abs -- Cathe) Everybody keep up the great work! |

Fishwoman, I'm glad you're all better, hon! I went to my exercise class last night, and then went for a walk with DH. 1.5 hours of exercise!! :hat: Keep up the good work, exercising girls!! :cheer: |
Hi all - I'm doing better now. I, too, had a cold, and didn't exer for one week. Could only do 35 minutes on the treadmill yesterday - just was SOOOO tired. I thought I would go back last night for some more - haven't been hitting the weights. But too tired.
I started the month by going and buying a pedometer. But I lost it on my trip to San Diego... boo..boo. Therefore, I am not going to count steps, but keep counting minutes. It really helps to have the encouragement. Thanks chickies!! |
60 more put me at 525 :carrot:
1000 - 525 = 475 to go 2/23 30mins |

Well I felt alot better yesterday and I got in 55 mins on my bike so now I'm at 743 mins total..I'm glad to be back at it again.. Have a great day..I'm off to work..today is going to be a long day |
Hi, everyone!
Just got back from my work-out class... I am feeling the burn. Keep it up, girls!! :cheer: |
My stupid job prevented me from working out both Tuesday and Wednesday:mad: I love what I do, but I don't like when I have 20-hour work days. Fortunately, those are fairly infrequent, but it's always so tiring. And then I don't eat right, because I'm at work all day and all night.
But, I walked (briskly) around the city for one hour and 15 minutes last night :carrot: , and I got in a 30 minute walk this morning. **** 2/01 - 35 minutes total - 30 walking; 5 yoga 2-02 through 2/07 - nothing 2/08 - 40 minutes walking 2/09 - 20 minutes walking 2/10 - nothing 2/11 - 30 minutes - elliptical 2/12 - nothing 2/13 - 30 minutes yoga 2/14 - 60 minutes walking 2/15 - 30 minutes walking 2/16 - 34 minutes elliptical 2/17 - 41 minutes yoga 2/18 - 30 minutes elliptical 2/19 - 45 minutes elliptical 2/20 - 35 minutes elliptical 2/21 - nothing 2/22 - nothing 2/23 - 75 minutes walking 2/24 - 30 minutes walking October = 1176; November = 1235; December 1192; January 1276 |
45 mins today put me at 600 mins for the month. Only 400 to go don't think I'll make it because that would be 100 mins a day ,but I'll see how close I can get.
Goal 1000mins 630 mins 2/25 700 mins 2/27 |
well I manage 40 mins today and that puts me at 783 for the month..I'm hoping I hit my 1000..I think I will..i'm glad my bug is gone; I was starting to miss my workouts..
Plb - Just do the best you can...you will be close anyway.. ellis - What kind of workout class are you taking? |
Quote:
I'm in Phase I (there are three Phases), so I go three times a week. It's a 30 minute class, and first we warm up and get our cardio rate up. Then we start using weights and those band thingys. We do squats, biceps curls, chest flys, shoulder presses, bent-over arm rows, etc, plus some sit-ups, hip rolls, bridging, leg raises, etc. The instructors really pack it in, and the 30 minutes just fly by. :) I had a positively lousy day yesterday. It's TOM, and I laid around all day feeling sorry for myself and eating too much. I'm not beating up on myself, though. I'm feeling better and more energetic today, and I'm going to do a mini-workout at home. That's the best thing I've learned while taking this program... I'm not a failure if I have a bad day! I acknowledge that I was "out-of-sorts" yesterday, and I'm moving on. :hat: I hope everyone gets in some exercise today... you're all doing great, despite colds and coughs!! :cheer: :cheer: March is biting at our heels, girls!! Let's keep at it!! :running: :lifter: :ebike: :woops: :wl: |
Oh... I wanted to provide this link: http://www.netfit.co.uk/wkmen.htm
It has some great little work-outs, and there are pictures. :) |
ellis - wow no wonder you feel the burn ..that seems like a powerful workout...Lots of muscle work...keep up the great work....
|
I've been lurking on this thread for a few days now and WOW, I'm inspired by each and every one of you! You're awesome!
If you start up a challenge for March, I'd love to jump in. I'm already trying to figure out what my goals will be. Minutes exercised for the month? Miles walked? How many days I exercised? Steps taken? All of the above? Keep up the good work, folks. You're doing great things and I can't wait to join you! |
Thanks, Donna!
Lena, we'd love to have you join us!! Yes... all of the above! |
Wow! I just read all the post for this month exercise..You chicks are doing great!! I am hoping on having the courage on getting moving when Spring arrives with my pedometer.. So Ladies... :bravo: to all who is moving and losing!! :)
