Happy New Year everyone!!
I haven't worked out yet today, but I thought I would catch up as I have been away from a computer for about 4 or 5 days. I closed out December with a total of 1192 minutes. Not as good as I would have liked, but at least I was moving! New Year's Day I went back at it hard-core, doing 60 minutes on the elliptical and then Crunch's Perfect Yoga "The Joy of Yoga," which is a nice 36 minutes of stretching and concentration. Yesterday I did 45 minutes on the elliptical. *** 1/01 - 96 minutes total - 60 elliptical; 36 yoga 1/02 - 45 minutes - elliptical 1/03 1/04 1/05 1/06 1/07 October = 1176; November = 1235; December 1192 |
Hello!! Ugh -- I'm back at work, and the phone has never stopped ringing! There have been a number of crises so far, but maybe things will settle down for a minute. I can always hope!
This morning I did a "fusion" workout -- pilates, cardio, weights, yoga; this one is mostly weights. It was a total of 49 minutes. January 1 -- 45 minutes January 2 -- 60 minutes January 3 -- 49 minutes So have a great day! |
Good going, girls! :hat:
I got on the treadmill for the first time this year. :D Did 20 minutes, including a 10 minute straight run. I'm pretty pleased with myself. :) |
Pam... I found the Prevention mag. It's not a regular one... it's PreventionGuide, Running Fit. May or June of 2005. If you can't find it, I'll let you know the plan...

Happy Wednesday to all!
My Christmas gift to myself was a Club-sized aerobic step. I had been using my Firm box, and it worked pretty well, but it's only about 3/4 the size of the full step. Also its surface is hard plastic, where the step has a rubberized surface, which I felt would be easier on my joints. Well, today was my first time out with the step, and I love it! Just the larger size makes you make your movements larger and hopefully burns more calories. So, today was a step workout with Cathe -- 51 minutes. January 1 -- 45 minutes January 2 -- 60 minutes January 3 -- 49 minutes January 4 -- 51 minutes So have a great day! |
I did 30 minutes on the elliptical when I got home last night.

I hope all who read this are having an energetic day!
I live in Nebraska and this is January, right? Well, while it's true we are having a lovely streak of warm weather -- in the 50s yesterday -- this office building is absolutely sweltering. I'll bet it's 85 in here! It's an older building, and I guess in order for the good folks in the basement not to freeze, the rest of us have to cook! We have actually broken out our summer clothing. Probably when our landlord sees his heating bill, he'll raise everybody's rent! :soap: Oh well, just kvetching a bit. This morning I did a new kickboxing DVD. It's mostly toning but has some cardio bursts as well. Really gets the whole body and the heart as well -- thumbs up on this one! I'm sure it will be joining my "favorites". January 1 -- 45 minutes January 2 -- 60 minutes January 3 -- 49 minutes January 4 -- 51 minutes January 5 -- 50 minutes Keep cool today! (Imagine saying that -- in January -- in Nebraska! -- lol):flame::flame::flame::flame: |
Thanks for posting the run/walk schedule.....that's awesome. I wish I could like running. I've always said I only run if I'm being chased with a weapon. But now that I'm 75 pounds lighter I'm thinking it's something I'd really like to do. As soon as the weather breaks I'm going to try it. Thanks!!!! :)

You're welcome, Fluffygirl!
I hope the weather breaks soon... for you AND I! I've just been out shoveling a shipload of snow. :snow4: DancingAngel, I am DEFINITELY cool! :D I had a lousy day, but got on the treadmill and did my 20 minutes, including a ten minute run. :) |
walk/run schedule
Thanks Ellis, YOU ROCK!!! :cb:
Since it shows the schedule starting on Monday, I'll start doing it this monday 0109. I'll keep doing my regular walking until then. I can't wait to start! I copied and pasted it so that I can print it out. I didn't get anything done yesterday 1/5. Someone called in sick at work and I had to stay over and then when I got home, the dog left a present by the front door. By the time I got that cleaned up and then got the dog calmed down enuff to let me sleep it was noon. Only got to sleep 4 hours, hubby calls all excited because he finally made contact with a guy that he grew up with, forgot I had worked overtime and called to tell me about it. Couldn't get back to sleep because by then my mind was working on all the stuff I still had to get done. Oh well, I'll like my check when it comes in. I stayed on my eating plan today which was good (when I usually work overtime in the morning, I stop at Long John Silvers or Chik Fil A to get the fried bad stuff) but I didn't this morning, I went home and ate a small bowl of Cheerios. Yea Me!! Thanks again Ellis. |
Oh. my. gosh. I have been so busy and upset over the last few days. I have neither worked out nor eaten. I did eat breakfast today, and got in a 35 minute walk. This will be my last post for a week or so as I will be on a cruise!!! I will post all my activities when I return. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
