Hi, all! I did yoga on Friday, and the elliptical on Saturday. Am not sure what to do today. I am thinking my crunch pilates dvd because it is both low impact aerobics and mat work. I will check in tomorrow and let you know what i did.

Okay - I ended up doing my Crunch Pilates DVD yesterday. I will go to the gym later today and do the elliptical. All this exercise is paying off - I am down another 2 pounds. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Happy Monday! Well, it's a happy one for me, because it's my birthday. 56 years old today, and in far better health than I deserve to be after abusing my body with 40+ years of frequently morbid obesity! I'm so thankful for my good health, much of which is due to my good exercise habit and my DVD player.

On Saturday I did Minna Lessig's Emergency Workout -- 25 minutes of cardio dance and 30 minutes of strength training.

Sunday I treated my body to an extra hour of sleep and did no formal exercise, though I had quite a busy and active day.

This morning I went back to my new favorite workout, Cathe's LowMax. I did 5 of the 7 circuits for a total of 53 minutes.

By the way, I have enjoyed small slices of the most delicious and decadent birthday cake! No guilt -- everything in moderation. :hb:

Have a great day! :woo:

Happy Birthday Dancing Angel :hb:

I totally agree about all things in moderation. The trick is to remember to be moderate :) I think I am getting better at that. I hope so, so that I can keep the weight off and not have to re-lose the same ten pounds every year. :o

I just got back from the gym. I did 40 minutes on the elliptical.

My gym shirt smelled bad - I think somehow it made it through the laundry without actually being washed. I don't know, it was sort of grossing me out, but i didn't have anything else to wear over my sports bra. Whatever it was, it is going straight in the hamper tonight!

Happy Birthday Dancing Angel! :gift:

Sorry to be awol guys. Work is crazy. Lots of holiday / end of year stuff to do.

I am embarrassed to say that my doc couldn't find anything wrong with my shoulder that has been driving me crazy. She says it is stress and I am not properly stretching. I got a script for a muscle relaxer. :(

So, I decided to not run this week and rest the area that is bugging me. I am working on my stretching and using the sauna at the gym each day.

I did 60 minutes this morning eliptical / recumbent bike.

sherpamelissa 11-22-2005 08:53 AM

Another goodmorning with 60 minutes of cardio, this time the stair machine and the bike.

DancingAngel 11-22-2005 11:28 AM

Good morning to all!

This morning I got in 58 minutes of strength training/cardio with The Firm Complete Aerobics and Weight Training. And my shoulders are feeling it! Which is a good feeling, because it makes you feel like you're having an effect. :strong:

I hope y'all have a wonderful day! :thanks2:

FishWoman 11-22-2005 03:29 PM

I actually lifted weights again today :strong: Did 20 minutes of weights and then 25 minutes on the elliptical.

Hello! Fishwoman, you definitely kick butt!

This morning I tackled The Firm Super Cardio Mix. It's not a workout I do real often because it has a lot of high impact moves, but I'm working on a birthday cake and it's Thanksgiving week! The workout went really well, however, and I will try to get it in at least on a monthly basis. It is 60 minutes -- mostly cardio but does include a brief abs section.

Have a wonderful day, and Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!
:thanks1:

FishWoman 11-23-2005 03:13 PM

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical today. I am probably going to leave work early. There is nothing going on here today.

DancingAngel 11-25-2005 12:59 PM

Hello! I made it through the first feast of the season with minimal damage! I hope y'all did as well.

On Thursday morning I did Cathe's High Step Circuit (47 minutes) and the add-on stability ball abs (10 minutes) -- for a total of 57 minutes.

This morning I did Crunch Cardio Dance Blast (35 minutes) and Cathe's Total Stretch segment 1 (15 minutes) -- for a total of 50 minutes.

I'm having to work today and it's not been fun! I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend once I do get out of here, though. I hope you are having a blast at whatever you are doing today! But don't forget to shake your bootie!!!

Thursday I did a 45 minute Billy Blanks cardio dvd and a 20 minute yoga dvd. Today I did 30 minutes on the elliptical.

Keep it up dancing angel! There is nothing like moving and grooving to keep the pounds off!

sherpamelissa 11-28-2005 10:35 AM

hmmm, looking at my last post I did also manage 60 minutes of cardio on Wednesday. Saturday we had our long run which was 100 minutes of running. I walked more than usual but it was COLD.

4th: 40 minutes - 3.22 miles
5th: 80 minutes - running outside
7th: 45 minutes - running outside

Hi there! I haven't worked out yet today, but figured I would catch up from the weekend and then update later!

Saturday I lifted weights and did the elliptical. Sunday I did the tae bo cardio dvd by Billy Blanks again. I feel as if I put more effort into it yesterday than Thursday. I think because I had already done it once, I was more familiar with what was happening and I could concentrate on exercising rather than following along.

Dang, Melissa, 100 minutes of running. Way to go! It was cold here this weekend, I can't imagine the weather in Illinois.

Greetings to all who sweat!

Lets see, on Saturday I did Windsor Pilates Advanced Body Slimming DVD (19 minutes) and Kari Anderson's Push:Step workout (35 minutes) -- total 54 minutes. I was quite happy about Kari's workout! I had gotten it a few weeks ago and previewed it. I thought it was too hard, so I hadn't done it. Well, since I do some of Cathe's, I thought I'd look at it again. This time I decided to give it a try, and it went really well! It's kind of complex and dancy, but I do like that. Exercising the brain as well as the body!

Yesterday I did TamiLee Webb's Tighter Assets -- 30 minutes. Nice intense cardio.

This morning I did a workout called Fast Cheetah from the Kick Butt series. 48 minutes cardio with some Pilates and core.

Have a wonderful rest of the day!!
