Default Big mistake on the birthday cake today!

OK so I only had a small slice of birthday cake that my work had for me today it was a really good creamy vanilla cake with fruit toppings. And OMG my stomach is seriously hating me right now! I felt queezy when I first ate it earlier today and I only had salad and oatmeal today knowing I'd get the extra carbs and sugars from the cake today. But now three hours later I came home, went for a second 45 minute power walk today to work it off and half way through I almost had to puke and it felt like my vision started to blurr a bit. I never thought I would get so sick over something that I used to love, and the slice was small and not even that big! I'm eating some saltine crackers and drinking water hoping to make my stomach better but man, I never thought cake would have made me so sick!

When I first saw the title, my first thought was someone messed up the words on a birthday cake or something like that.

Anyway, that sucks. I hope you get to feeling better ASAP! I have found some of my old favorite sweets do not agree with me anymore, especially so if they are not homemade, from a store.

LOL thankfully the words were spelled right on the cake I hear ya about the non homemade products, I've been doing my best lately to stay away from store bought and stick with homemade goodies. I also ended up starting my TOM this morning, so I think that played into part of the extra sensitivity, especially since I did end up brining the cake back up later that night.

Oh, do I hear you! I was in the exact same boat. It wasn't cake, but fried shrimp. I didn't have that many, but it's been a very long time since I had anything fried! Isn't it crazy how things change?

it really is pretty crazy seeing the changes our body goes through and how the diet/healthy lifestyle affects not only weight loss but everything else about your body

I'm kind of nervous but also excited about getting to the point where cake doesn't taste like angels are dancing on my tastebuds haha. I think that when you begin to associate things you love with a bad feeling, it makes it easier to stay away. But some days you do want to eat cake (like your birthday) and that's no fun when you can't. :/
