For a binge-free June

  • Who wants to pledge to not bingeing in June? By bingeing I mean eating a great amount of calories in a short time, with a feeling of lack of control and to the point you feel sick. We'll have a binge-free June, or at least we will try! Who's on board?
  • I'm in...but i'm setting the bar really, really low. For myself, i'm not going to consider it a real binge as long as i don't surpass 3400 calories a day. I know that sounds like a ton of calories...and i certainly would gain weight if i ate that every day. But if i have a mini-binge once a week and eat 3400 calories, i will actually be fine. 3400 calories, for me, is not a true binge. If i keep my expectations low maybe i can stay on track.
  • In! I have two planned treat days for a wedding out of town next weekend, so I'll be enjoying catered dinners and desserts on those days. I'm going to eat well aside from dinner, but not count calories or plan meals like I normally do. Just two "relaxed" days.

    Aside from that weekend my goal is to eat moderately healthy with no binges at all (as you described them)... I don't think it will be hard now that I'm at home again.

    After next weekend I'll really be careful anyway because my own wedding is coming up in July! I also plan to keep up weighing in once a week just to make sure I don't let my weight flucutate up or down too much. My dress fitting/alterations appointment is next week so the size I am now is the size I need to maintain, otherwise my dress won't fit right!
  • JossFit, that's so exciting! Only a month and change away!

    I just found out my favorite band broke up, but I also looked at graphic photos of the victim of the Miami bath salts zombie attack's face, so I can't imagine ever eating again.
  • I'm in. My binges have gotten smaller and smaller..this coming month (and on) they shall be no more!
  • I'm so up for it. I'm flying out of country for the latter half of June. Going to try my best to not binge while I'm traveling without a scale.
  • I'm in! I didn't do so hot in May... 3 binges last week in fact :,( but I'm on board to try again in June! We haven't failed unless we've given up, right?? Today is 5 days of good eating, and if I can get to my birthday it'll be 21 days, then I'll have a "birthday indulgence" ;-), and hopefully be able to go without a binge all month!

    Surfer girl, as long as you're trying to take steps in the right direction I think it's great! Part of goal-setting as making attainable goals

    Yeah I have been really working hard to curb bingeing cause I go into this crazy spiral... I'm also in therapy so addressing the feelings n emotions under the food and using non food related tools are helping too...
    I have been binge free for two months... Had some close calls with over eating but no binges....
    One moment at a time.... We can do it!!!!!

  • I'd love to make it a full month without a binge, sounds like a good goal to focus on. Count me in
