I've been doing Atkins since February, and had been doing well with my weight loss.
I don't know what happened, it started with a few cheats. Then I was PMSing and there were more indiscretions. Then I was just not following the diet at all.
And now I'm suddenly back in my old habits, bingeing. I used to be bad for this but found low carbing kept me in control. Also, it's a stressful time right now and I'm sure that is contributing to all this.
I need advice how how you stop, how you get control. I forget what I did in the past that worked during times like this.
I don't think there's a magic strategy (unfortunately). Just try to get ONE clean day under your belt. I find that each clean day makes the next one easier, so it's really a matter of getting over the initial hump, which may require some white-knuckling.

I guess that's a start, maybe an X on my calendar for every day I've been good.
I was thinking of going back to writing down what I eat. I seem to do well with that.
To get back to low carb, I eat just meat and fat for about 1-3 days and as soon as my appetite drops dramatically I can tackle balancing the meat with veggies, eggs, nuts, seeds and dairy. I find making a whole chicken in a soup pot or a large roast works perfectly. I then have hot broth to drink (heavenly with a dash of double cream) and plenty of meat to eat. I eat as often as I like, sometimes using mayonnaise or cold pressed oils as a dip. I avoid artificial sweeteners for awhile too, so as to not stimulate appetite. This is my method of a fast slide back to low carb and only a suggestion. You have to try what works best for you.
