Default I cannot get in control!

Somebody, help!

I had a good 3 weeks of following the plan without any issues. I was tracking and planning like a mad woman, exercising daily, etc. I had a bad weekend (trips to the ER with my little one, DH's grandmother in the hospital) and it threw all my planning and eating well off. I can't seem to get back in control now. I am constantly starving, though I think it's more mental than anything else. Nothing "healthy" sounds good to be at all, and all I want to do is eat junk.

I know that it's up to me to get this thing back under control, but I really need a smack in the head. Can anyone help me out with that?

Try to keep busy,i know its advice that you have already heard but for me boredom is what used to drive me to snack. Be strong and remember your not hungry its just your mind playing tricks

Just gone through a horrid bingeing period myself and nowadays its almost always caused by a break in routine.

Try and get back into following regular times for eating - you won't get any twinges from your stomach that way-

Also be kind to yourself

Hey, I know how you feel. Life sometimes feels like it gets in the way and healthy eating is just another thing to worry about. Those sugar cravings after a while of bad eating are terrible- and it's crazy how much control those cravings seem to control your thoughts and actions. My only advice is that you've done it before and can do it again. And it'll be much easier to nip it in the bud now than to wait until youre back to where you started! Getting on a schedule REALLY helps me also and I like what Jalsa said, "be kind to yourself". Good luck! You CAN do this!

Default eat proper food

I would suggest you to eat healthy. Choose the right foods to eat instead of starving yourself. This is very important in your diet plan. Try not to starve yourself as you can't possible to lose weight if you didn't fuel your body with proper nutrition. When you eat reasonable portions of proper foods, your body will automatically reduce your caloric intake and lose weight without feeling hungry. Hope it helps

For me, I find junky foods fuel desire for junky food and great food fuels hunger for more great food. Make yourself an amazing (and not necessarily low calorie) healthy, delicious meal. Lots of veggies, whole grains and wonderfully seasoned protein. Some food you really love....but good for you.

Really savor that meal. Chew slowly and take your time. Love that food and know that it's helping your body by providing great fuel and nutrition - and helping your mind by being in control of your food.

Thanks everybody. Yeah, I think I was jonesing for some junk. I had a good day yesterday and feel much better with eating good again. Need to remember that before I binge next time!

Default Completely understand

I completely understand. One day I'm doing well, the next I am overcome with the need for some junk. Hang in there and know you aren't alone. I'm trying to come out of the closet a bit and start admitting I have a problem.

I go through stuggles with trying to control binge eating myself.I know it's not easy but you need to try to get away from the junk foods and start eating healthier foods. That will get you back on the right track
