Well I messed up this weekend. I was all ready to stick to the game plan and I planned on a few extra calories for my birthday and I just lost it for a few days. It wasn't as horrible as I thought it was initially but it was still pretty bad. I ended up eating 2000-2400 calories a day which is 500-900 past my goal. I still exercised but not as much as I should have. On the plus side though I did finally get hand weights so I'll be able to do more strength training at home. I guess I just have to do my hardest to get back on game plan. If my birthday turned out like this I'm really worried about how Thanksgiving and Christmas are gonna turn out though.
Don't worry, it's just a temporary set back. I did the same thing for my birthday a week and a half ago, I gave myself permission to eat one meal uncensored a day for 3 - 4 days. It's ok as long as you recover from it. Happy birthday by the way, and here's to a happy and healthy year for you
Don't beat yourself up and don't give ourself hard time. There is no need for that, just be loving and carying towards yourself and it will work believe me, one day you will not make the decision to eat more than you need because you do not want to do this to your body. Because you don't deserve it, because you deserva so much more and that is to be happy, to be free! Just focus on that and all will be well.
Yeah I'm probably closer to 4-5000 calories around my birthday time! Last year I ate 1/4 of an italian cream cake +mucho wine & mucho dinner so definitely don't beat yourself up! If I were you I'd call it a victory.
