Brownies have flour in them. Flour is made from wheat. Wheat is stored in silos, and let me tell you- silos are usually infested with mice and rats! And What do mice and rats do after eating on the wheat? (yup. gross)
The brownies are full of that.
Maybe you should look at that pan of brownies as one big rat litter pan...
