Excellent! I like it with yoghurt, too, but once I start spooning it plain, that`s usually me, as well. I should know better than purchasing it in the first place, but when it`s on offer I cannot always resist it either... Well donem, you! :-)
I bought Nutella once and ate the entire jar in about two days...it was a disaster I can't buy the stuff. I told my MIL about it,she bought a jar and sure enough had the same disaster....so now we are both in the will never buy Nutella again oath
I'm a big time lurker...never quite know what to contribute to the conversation...but this one really hit home with me as I fight the lingering guilt from my Nutella splurge from last night...ugh...I don't even want to post how much of that gooey goodness I gulped down, but I have a tonne of guilt weighing on my shoulders this morning. Ugh. Now, let's see if this will actually post...I'm such a dork when it comes to this kind of stuff.
I actually am allowed it...but I have to realize it's fattier than the peanut butter. I am allowed no more than 1 TSP on a 2 slices of toast as a MEAL! So I don't eat it too much and if I do it's my entire breakfast.

One of my personal food rules is "There are no forbidden foods" because if I'm convinced I can't have something I want it all the more. I've had a jar of Nutella in the cupboard for about three months. It's still two thirds full. Once in a while I will spread a half tablespoon (yes I measure) on two graham crackers and have that for breakfast along with half of a banana.
I have to admit I bought a jar of Nutella because of this thread! (I am easily influenced) But it has been sitting in the cabinet for a few days!!!! I haven't felt the need to open it up yet. I'm so good.
I also "forbid nothing," but for me that doesn't mean "allow myself to eat anything, anywhere." With some foods, portion control will always be an issue (especially during PMS/TOM), and it's easier to deal with that before it becomes an issue, than afterward. So, there are many foods that I will not bring into the house, except in single serving portions.
I did almost buy some Nutella in a gourmet shop when we were in Illinois. They had the little individual packets (maybe 2 tablespoons), and so I decided to buy two. Then I saw that the price of two would come to more than half the price of an entire jar at Aldi (it's not Nutella at Aldi, it's a german version of the hazelnut spread - and just as good, but almost half the price of Nutella.).
Nutella usually is priced at around $4 to $5 in most grocery stores around here.
The individual packets in the gourmet shop were $.89 each.
The Aldi version is under $3 per jar (and I think it was $2.29 ot $2.49 the last time I bought it).
I couldn't justify the price of the single serving packets and can't justify buying a jar that I will likely eat in a single day during PMS week. I figured I didn't want it badly enough if I wasn't willing to buy the single serving.
Nutella is one of the few things that still catches my eye and makes me spin my head every time I pass it in the grocery store even though I don't think I've actually had any in years...!
