Default Accountability

Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping by coming here to the 3 fat chicks forum that I will find some people that I can be accountable too. I'm just so tired and frustrated with myself. I seem to have no control over food anymore. I just eat and eat until I'm sick, mad, and disguseted with myself. I've gained about 10 pounds the last month or so and my clothes are starting to not fit. Overeating doesn't really make me happy so I'm frustrated that I even do it. Right now I'm about 12 pounds above my lowest weight of this year and that just makes me so sad. I'm abusing my body with food and it's got to stop and it's got to stop NOW.

I'm 26, single and I still live with my parents(they are awesome!). For most of my childhood I was overweight. In 2007 something clicked and I dropped a lot of weight. By summer I was 127. That was such a short lived thing. Before I knew it my weight had climbed back into the 150's. Since then I've normally been between 135-145. This year I've struggled a whole lot with my weight. My lowest weight this year has been 138 as of late it is the high 140's and I think I even hit the 150's. I'm so scared that I won't be able to get this weight back off and that none of the clothes that I love will be ever fit again.

I need to get control and hopefully that control starts right now!

Welcome! I think acknowledging our binging patterns is a huge step.

Welcome! You will get a lot of support, advice and motivation here. Losing weight and keeping it off is a struggle, for sure. But, stick with it; you will be glad you did.

Cheers,

J

You are right. And it seems like it's something I don't really like to admit to the people closest to me. This seemed like the next best option!

Right now I'm sitting here trying to decide what I should do about eating lunch. I didn't bring anything with me except and apple. Wasn't the brightest move. I could go buy a frozen dinner I guess.

I would suggest a salad from a fast food place however I am the type of person who can hardly walk past a fast food restaurant without getting something horribly unhealthy. Are there any deli's near you for a nice salad or wrap? Or a grocery store? Get some fresh veggies and some sandwich meat from the deli counter.

My office is ordering out from Moe's I could get the Joey Junior Burrito with no wrap and it would be 210 calories. I could eat that with my apple. I should have brought some carrots from home. I overate breakfast this morning and got upset at myself which is why I only brought an apple.

That wrap sounds like a great idea! It sounds good too, now what's a Moe's. jk. You can always eat your apple before lunch comes in so that you've got something in your stomach before the wrap. You sound like you're doing well today, so keep the momentum going! You can do this!

Hey Melly!

Welcome! I don't admit my problem with binging to other either, but here I feel free to discuss all the disgusting details. Accountability in anonymity, I guess!

The wrap and apple sound great--plus lots of water along with a meal always tends to fill me up.

Ok well the Moe's order was placed and I didn't order the wrap. Now I'm thinking a turkey on wheat bread sanwich from sheetz. It's just under 300 calories(if I get it with cheese) plus an apple. A 400 calorie lunch is probably about perfect for me. We'll see.

I am a BIG water drinker!!

I'm sitting here thinking about kitkats in a candy dish at a co-workers cubbie. I MUST RESIST. Random free food at the office gets me into trouble ALL THE TIME!!

Good luck picking good foods for lunch. Lunches are my bane. I start thinking about lunch, and then the idea of having a delicious brownie with lunch starts to appeal, and it all goes downhill from there.

I need to take a piece of your methods and get the umph to not order that yummy high calorie food.

Drinking water is great, it really helps make you feel full without adding any calories.

my weight bounces around just like yours my best weight is only 1 pound less that yours 126 lbs. a nice size 6, right now I am having trouble fitting in my size 8 clothes. bouncing around 135. When you are short like I am 10 pounds makes a huge difference. Im at a loss right now as I havent felt full all week even though I am eating like a cow. I think now that it is the weekend I am going to plan the entire week of food and also make sure I take enough food to work so I dont find myself sneaking through the drive through.

Try planning at least 4 days of food for the week and see how that works.
It usually does the trick for me

I can't say I did good at all this weekend. But I had fun with my family so that was good. Starting today I am very serious about getting back on track. Back to weighing myself every day. It's just what I need to do even though it does seem a little obcessive...
