Default Having a bad time lately

I just can't stop eating. A work, I've been eating while typing...there is always something in my mouth from about the time I get up until the time I fall asleep. It's almost as if it's a habit. I'm definitely not hungry. It's like I'm on automatic pilot. I'm supposed to be taking Xenical, but I feel like what good is it going to do me if I just keep eating like this. I've never been diagnosed with an eating disorder, but I'm really beginning to wonder. Sorry, I just had to get this out somewhere.

((((((HUGS))))))) I'm sorry and I know how you feel. I can't give you any advice, because I'm still learning more, but I just wanted to let you know you're not alone.

Default welcome to our little corner

Hi Angie! You are so right about the diet pills aka appetite suppressants...I eat whether I'm hungry or not so a pill that controls appetite does little to nothing for me.
I find the commercials extremely amusing. I'm jealous of those who can use them and it works. but....

You are not alone out there, here you will find those who have realized that diets don't work, only life changes will cure what hurts us.

Stay here and read, you'll find support here. Take care and stick around.

Angie, I know how you feel. I wake up and the first thing I think about is eating. What can I eat, what can't I eat, am I going to eat too much today, am I going to binge, is it going to be good day? All that in about 5 seconds. I know why I eat, basically. There are things in my life I need to change, but until I do that I have to learn how to not eat myself to death. I do not know what is going on in your life, but maybe there is something that the food is helping you cope with. I know journaling helps alot of people. I wish I could help you, and I wish I could take some of your pain away. There is alot of support here, keep posting and together we can all help each other, Take Care.

I feel right at home here.

I am trying Slim Fast. It isn't the first time. I have used it before as well as Metracal, protein powder, low fat, Adkins, calorie counting, the cabbage diet, WW and probably most every diet mentioned on these boards. Years ago I used pills and potiens and staples in my ears (OUCH!) and herbs and starvation.

I have never been diagnosed with an eating disorder but I am sure I have one. I don't throw up or purge in anyway but I eat too much and crave sugar.

I wonder if this is a battle I will fight my entire life.

I am off to read some of the posts on this section. I have been posting daily on the SlimFast sections and while the people there are very nice there are not many of us.

I hope we all find our answers and, Sweetone, you are not alone.
