Trying to stay strong...
I'm still in the first week of the new diet. Protein shakes for breakfast and lunch then a sensible dinner. It's been hard, but I'm staying strong. I had a huge temptation yesterday. I went into the kitchen at work to refill my water glass and sitting on the counter is a Mexican buffet. Chips, salsa, rice, beans... oh how they called my name.
I reminded myself why I am doing this, and refilled my water glass and went back to my office and my celery for my snack. I need to remind myself of that moment and how I was able to say no to the Mexican goodness. I so want a chorizo breakfast burrito right now, but here I sit, sipping my shake and knowing I'm doing the right thing. Thanks for listening to my rant. :P |
you can do this Jen, and if not, maybe this particular diet is not the right one for you. have you considered other forms of dieting/lifestyle change?
hang in there! |
thanks! I'm finding reasons to stay motivated and being here is really helping so far. I'm so happy I found you guys.
Went for a bike ride today and am doing perfect today! Another day almost done, and no slip ups. Just taking it one day at a time. |
Good for you! It's not easy resisting those last-minute temptations.

Great job! One day/meal at a time!

That's awesome. And you know the good feelings of making the right choice? They last longer than the taste of mexican food! ;)

The first few months are extremely hard....You have to just get your mind on the prize and in my case my prize is to go into a clothing store and buy whatever I want off the shelf. Keep up the good work and keep in mind you will look and feel awesome once you reach your goal
