Default busy hands

One of my diet tips books says we should play video games, cause if your hands are busy playing, you can't be eating. So taking this to be a good idea, on the way out for a social dinner tonite, I stopped at a craft store and bought some knitting needles and wool and started knitting a hat for a neice.
I didn't eat all the bread and olive before the appetizers came. Between the apps and entree I didn't eat the bread.
I enjoyed my meal very much. I was aware of everything I ate, enjoying it very much. (as opposed to scarfing food down quickly, hardly tasting it, and not really enjoying it)
I have no idea what my calorie count was today, but I know it didn't include a binge.
One day at a time.

Thats awesome! Maybe that's why my boyfriend is so skinny - all those darn video games he plays. Sometimes when I feel like eating out of control when I'm not hungry, I go take a bubble bath, or paint my fingernails. 2 things that make it pretty difficult to eat!

This totally helps me not to mindlessly snack. One of the reasons why I like fingerpainting . It sounds childish but it makes you think twice about leaving red paint stains on food packets.

I enjoy painting too. Seems it helps curb those evening snacks when I'm focused on something.

Good for you! Knitting helped me to give up mindlessly eating while watching TV or a rental. I'm a terrible knitter, but I'm not going to argue with success.

I am also not a great knitter. I prefer small projects, on round needles, since Im hopeless about finishing off. I am currently making kids hats (toques) for winter. Also planning baby bonnets for the clients

I love to knit! It has been a great tool to keep my hands/mind busy I think videogames are different for me though, I always like to eat while playing videogames...
