Hello

Hello,

I am a compulsive overeater for many years. I overeat, binge mostly on sweets, my worst enemy. Snacking is my pitfall, it occurs noon time and I always finding ways to control myself. I don't live alone, live with my siblings and always sees my weakness, which put a toll on my efforts on shedding weight. Which am not doing so good, struggling every day, and in my life when it comes to sweets, it is an everyday a holiday.

I failed this year again of not being in control of my food choices...been on serveal plans and just could not stick with it...

So, I am just working on eating 3 balanced meals and no snacking between meals ,,only drinking water. and keep myself busy..

I offer cheerful support and hoping on recieving from others who is caring and understanding. My family don't understands why I overeat and the guilt response feeling.

Hoping on making friends and sharing our efforts on controlling with food choices daily.

Thank you for listening and have a good one.. Till next time..

Liliann

Welcome!

I think your plan of not "dieting" per se, but just trying to regain some sense of "normal" eating is a good one. You might want to build in 1 or 2 healthy snacks, just so you don't get overly hungry between meals - that often leads to overeating.

A book that might interest you is the Bob Greene's Best Life plan.... rather than specify what to eat, he first advises changing the "when" of your eating, and not worrying too much about the "what" until the "when" is under control. I was following it last year, and I think it was helpful in getting out of the binge habit. Good luck!

hi liliann,

i wanted to say welcome first of all! and that you did not "fail" per se...maybe you just never learned how to eat normally or in the best way possible for you to have optimum health and joy

and i also felt so guilty when i lived with my siblings and they would "catch me" per se...but you have to be comfy with your food choices no matter who is around [granted i am having problems with that myself] but still!!!

welcome!!
