Default Hi everyone (new member)

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say a couple words to introduce myself. In a few words, I am a Fat Chick with binge eating disorder, that up until now had given up on recovery but now wants to try again. I read many posts on this forum and can very much relate to many of you. I have created a blog (http://3fatchicks.com/diet-blogs/ruby/) in which I intend to discuss my road to recovery every day. I've been through **** for a year now, crying all the time, wanting it all to end. Now I'm ready to try yet one more time... hopefully it'll work. Feel free to drop by, and I wish you the best in your own path to a better life

Hi,

Congrats on trying to get things under control. I too am a binge eater (just started to about a year ago). I came to the conclusion that I wasn't happy and got to that point where I was ready to change. I read a couple books that might help you "The Taming of the Chew - a holistic guide to ending overeating" and "the secret"

One big thing that helped me was to stop assuming I couldnt do it or that I was going to be like this forever. I made an acheivable goal and I'm sticking to it becuase I've decided to assume i will get to that goal. From that point, it seems easier to make decisions based on whether it will bring you closer to the goal or not. I foudn this really helped to change my mentality. I'm no longer fighting against my uncontrollable self. I'm just naturally doing what makes sense given my plan and my goal. I also find that I have to keep reminding myself that the road to recovery will have some bumps so instead of getting so dissapointed that I give up, I just keep going since I know I will get to that goal eventually.

I am sure you will be able to turn things around this time, believe in yourself and you will succeed. Positive thinking has really helped me a lot.

Keep us posted!
