Default Binge-free week, January 15 start

I saw that no one posted the January 15th binge-free week, so I guess I will. I am full of motivation this week and I'm so proud of myself. I am now done 17 lbs after just one week of not binge eating! I guess that tells you just HOW much I was really eating before. I also went to my favorite restaurant and did not order my normal huge portion of chicken parmesan and a cup of soup, but instead chose something smaller and low-fat.

Let's all check in here this week to keep each other on track! Here's to another binge-free week!

Yeah Megan! Way to go!

Just as a reminder for those of you that are new to this, this is a thread to help to motivate us to remain binge-free for an entire week. Some of us make it and some of us don't. Some of us have to struggle with this hour-by-hour. Regardless of how long we've been practicing at controlling our binge-monster, we all need support in keeping him at bay. Please share you successes here, but also come here for support and understanding as well. We've all been there!

Also, the mentioning of specific types of foods isn't allowed on this thread. Some foods, even those considered to be "healthy", can act as triggers for others and cause them to spiral into a full-blown binge. Since we want to prevent this, please simply refrain from mentioning specific foods.

I managed to stay OP (On Program) and Binge Free for an entire week last week! Actually, today is the beginning of day 9 for me, and I'm very psyched and thrilled! I've lost 23 lbs this month and 16 of them have been this past week! This gives me a lot of strength and incentive to continue!

On to another wonderful week everybody!

Barb

I'm still binge free since December 26th. No big news for me. I've been stalled at this weight for about a week now and it is driving me crazy! If i break the ten pound barrier by sunday, i promised myself i would ask a guy out to lunch.. haha. Good motivation if you ask me!

I used to think about binging all the time but now its one less thing i have to worry about. I bought one of my big binging foods- cottage cheese. And all i did was measure it out and put it away its amazing!

Congrats meganl AND Phoenix Song thats really wonderful! And i can't imagine the amount of motivation losing a number that big gives you!
I wish i could lose that much in a week, i'd be halfway to my goal! ahahah

stay strong everyone! o yah, i have the day off today! normally these would be binge days but not anymore

Part of being good to myself means not to beat myself for the binge. Is gone, PAst Finito, nothing I can do to change it.
The only thing I can do is TO KEEP on going
Kepp on going to the GYM (So far I managed 2 weeks, 5-6 times per week, 60 minutes per day, not bad )
Keep on bneing nice to self
Keep on not stepping on the scale...
Keep on drinking my water.
Keep on being sugar free....
That is the only thing I can do, keep on going, that is the only thing
I love myself, no matter what, I wont feel like a failure, This is one battle, I will win the war

Also I wanted to write that after 3 weeks sugar free I weighted myself and I was 116.5# , 3.5 # less than before HUGE CHRISTMAS BINGE... So I still can get there. But NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT STEP ON THE SCALE.....
It is a binge trigger for me.

Hi, I'm new to this thread - hi Curiosity (Shantel) good to see you again. OK well I'm glad this thread didn't start yesterday cos I'd have failed already! Had a big binge yesterday (first since before Christmas) but thanks to this WONDERFUL site I'm back on track again. I am determined to check in next week and say I made it.

Good luck everyone!

Don't feel bad about last weekend. You cannot change what happened in the past, but all you can do is learn from it and move on. The reason why I think my diets failed in the past is because I beat myself up about bingeing or going off the diet and then I'd say screw it and binge some more. I have a whole new philosophy this time. I have been going to online overeater's anonymous meetings, and then I wake up each day and look at that day as if its my first day of dieting or my first day binge free. I tell myself that if I can just be binge-free and eat responsibly/healthy for one day, that is a huge accomplishment.

Last week I started looking at dieting this way. I began this new way of thinking last Monday, and before I knew it, it had been a week and I was weighing myself. I have decided that there will probably be times when I fall off and slip back to my old ways, but the important thing is whether I get back on the horse or just stay down on the ground. Know what I mean?

Hello everybody! I hope that you're all doing well on your no-binge challenges! (It can be a challenge at times, right?)

I'm very pleased to say that I'm now at 10 days binge-free!

Carolva, we're here for you and know that you can do this! Please come to us for support and encouragement, because we've all been there!

BTW, in case you didn't know, if you have something additional to say that you didn't include in your original post you can "edit" your post to add in the additional information. You don't have to post multiple times within a few minutes' time. Doing that can be a bit confusing to other members. "Is the the same post that she made less than a minute ago or has she made other posts?"

I'm sure that you were unaware of this feature and now you'll know! Also, there are many, many threads if you're interested in boosting your post count numbers.

Curiosity, we'll be with you this weekend! That's my weakest time as well.

Doughnut, I hope that you're still holding strong! I agree that it's easier to stay on track when you check in here often. It helps me to keep focused on what I need to do to get to where I want to be. I'm here with you!

YEAH Meganl! I know that you're going strong and doing well! Good luck!

Hey everyone, I am just checking in. I am now on day 2 of this week, and 9 days total w/o bingeing. I feel so great. I haven't felt this good in a while. Tomorrow I am going out of town and there's a certain restaurant that I would really like to go to, but I am not going to do it because I know it will trigger a binge for me. So for now I just have to avoid it. Anyways, here's to a great week! Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone!

Here I am, in my quest to hold myself accountable.. after doing so well today, I binged. Eating out of boredom... you know.

And what makes it worse is that boyfriend's shift has changed.. now he works until 2am, so I don't have the "I dont want him to see how much Im eating" motivation to NOT binge. Blech. Tonight was the first night of this new shift.. we'll see how it goes.

Off to go do strength training.. was considering skipping it, but I so will NOT, not after what I did.

*hugs* to all... hope everyone has a great tomorrow!
