Default Bleeding and bruising?

I've been noticing that I bruise more easily than I usually do. That had me a little worried. But then this morning while taking a hot bath, my nose started bleeding for no reason that I could understand.

Then later on today I noticed blood in another place that had no reason to bleed. Any ideas as to why?

Tonight I had brocoli with my meal and a glass of wine. I hope that helps my blood some. Not sure what the wine will do, but I think it is supposed to be good for your blood.

Any suggestions?

Sherry I can not say that I have ever experienced that, maybe more havey bleeding during TOM, and some bruising but I though that I was just clumsey. I have a mark like a bruise on my leg from the last time I was low carb and it has never went away. (that was 4 years ago) I am not sure what to say except get it checked you should not be bleeding from there.

I would see the doctor ASAP. No reason to take any chances.

Oh surely it isn't serious enough to go to the doctor about. I figure it is a nutrition thing. I need to eat somewhat better. Just need to figure out what I need. Maybe more minerals or iron or something. Take vitamins for a few days. Maybe drink more water. There are things that thin your blood, maybe artificial sweeteners are one of them?

Anyway thanks for your concern. I doubt if I want to go to the doctor about this. If it gets serious in a really scary way I will, I just don't think it is that way yet. I'll probably do some research on the net and find out what deficiencies or additives could be causing it.

Yes, it is. Those are both signs of some serious illnesses. If it does turn out to be nothing, GREAT, but if it's something you need to see to it right away.

Sherry - get to the doctor.

After I lost 100 lbs, I developed a menstrual bleeding disorder -- I bled for 12 months straight before they did surgery. I developed severe anemia so bad I had to sit in a chair just to blow dry my hair. It triggered my Celiac disease and it's taken me 3 years to get back normal.

Don't play around with bleeding -- it could be serious.

I would definitely see a doctor, and this is coming from an RN. Don't try to self-diagnose. We are all bad to do this at times. I have had some bruising while on Atkins, but never any bleeding.
