Hi Tonya!! Welcome :)

hyacinth merry 02-13-2006 09:54 AM

I designated Monday's to be my weigh-in days so today was the day :goodscale

I've lost 2.6 pounds since last Monday so woo-hoo!! I'm approaching the end of week two on Atkins Induction and have followed it as close as I could. I pledged to do the entire month of Feb. on Induction.

Have a trainer that comes to my house twice a week (how I spend my "me" money) and she's here this afternoon for an hour session. Have been reading a lot of info about Atkins, how to do, etc. too.

Thanks for your good wishes and support and I hope everyone here has a great Monday too :D

Hugs, Hy

:welcome3: Tonya! Wishing you much success too!

I started the Atkins diet, Induction phase, the first of Feb, so I'm now on day 13. I have lost some weight too. So there's hope - lol!

Once again, welcome!

Hey ladies!

Hope you don't mind if I join you. I've been on Atkins since 01/02/06..so that makes 42 days - but I can't say they've been 42 CLEAN days of induction. I've had a couple of "off the wagon" days - nothing too bad - but bad enough to stall me out for awhile.

SO - starting today I want to do 14 straight days of pure, clean induction.

Today's menu -

B: 2 Atkin's Low Carb muffins (made from a mix - 2 net carbs each - NO sugar alcohols)
L: 1 C Cheeseburger soup (my recipe is 6 net carbs)
Afternoon Snack - 2 hardboiled eggs (1 carb)
Dinner: May have to be "on the run" - Ceasar side salad from Wendy's??

SherryA 02-13-2006 10:55 AM

Morgaine? I don't think even Atkins muffins are allowed during induction... Are they?

superstacy 02-13-2006 11:49 AM

Hi Morgaine! It's nice to have more people join the thread.

*Checking in with the excercise* did 30 minutes on the treadmill :) I had to be creative towards the end. My little ones wanted my attention. So we ended up playing Simon Says during my last 11 minutes.

I'm trying to decide what I want to eat for breakfast. I'm not sure yet. I do know I'm really thirsty. I've got bathrooms to scrub today, that ought to burn some more calories.

Morgaine 02-13-2006 12:04 PM

ok Sherry - you caught me - no they're not on the pure food list - but they're listed as good for all 4 phases on the Atkin's web site. I guess it's one of those gray area things. I figured since it's not like those bars they sell that have sugar alcohols in them, I could use them.

Oh, woe is me - OKAY - tomorrow I will start over with day one of CLEAN induction with real foods only.

So glad the muffins are in the freezer and will wait for me for a few weeks.

Blamah87 02-13-2006 05:15 PM

I will join with you because I had a craving for chocolate last week and I binged.

Blamah

Hi and welcome Blamah!

RobinW 02-13-2006 06:04 PM

mmmmmmmmm buffalo flavoured chicken breast strips are darn tastey!!

Welcome Blahmah! :welcome3:

hyacinth merry 02-13-2006 09:34 PM

:welcome: Morgaine and Blamah!!!

I'm on day 13 of Induction - no expert by any means, but here to support everyone - if you have a question, maybe between all of us, we can help.

Induction for me is exactly by the book - I mainly just want to see if I can do it right - lol!! So I have the rest of Feb to practice :-)

I worked out for an hour with my trainer this afternoon and tonight I had a filet of salmon and a cup of cooked chopped spinach w/butter. Will have some herbal tea now and that should do me for tonight. Kind of a boring report, huh? :D

Hope everyone had a good day and I'll talk to you all tomorrow.

Nite!
Hyacinth/Hy

OK, starting my REAL induction today. 167.5# weigh-in this AM.

Today's plan:

Breakfast/Snacks/Lunch (this is what I tossed in my lunch box to last until 4 pm):

Chef Salad (w/ ham, cheese, olives, oil/vinegar)
2 hardboiled eggs
3.5 oz Gruyere cheese
5 oz can chicken breast

Dinner will probably be tuna salad & green salad

:val1: Happy Valentine's Day! :val1:

Hope everyone has a great day and is able to stay on track.

As I said on another board: No candy for me today - that's my way of saying "I Love You!" to myself :val2:
