Morning Ladies

Well, the cough part of my cold has settled in :( I can't wait for all this to be gone!! I dont function very well like this.

Susan...I hope and pray your sil will be ok, and your new neice or nephew arrives safe and sound. Its such a worry for you, but they are in my thoughts and prayers.

Brenda~ thats too funny, why not wear it just for dh??? I have a couple that I would never wear in public....too much boobage for others to see :lol3: Besides, dh would have a fit if I did

Lacey~ WTG on your 2 lbs!!!!!

Sue~ wear cotton panties! too funny

I'll catch up with everyone when Im feeling better....its nice to see so many people here!

Time for my shower, steams out my head! I'll be sooooo glad when Im back to normal!

Pant Size??

bnbmommies1

Shoot I'm still wearing mens jeans, since they don't fit so snug around the tummy. But they are about to fall off. They are a 38 waist.

I did buy some dressier slacks and they were a 16. I was tickled to death since it was the first time I actually had to go the regular ladies section instead of the larger ladies department. They are kind of loose now, but I definately go for comfort (ie. loose fitting).

I am going to wait until I see my daughter on 2/18. Going to shop at the stock yards at OKC and hopefully be able to reduce a couple of jean sizes by then. My reward for reaching goal is a Kippy's Rhinestone belt, so I can drool and dream while I am there shopping. Altho I still can't imagine being able to wear a belt again.

Good afternoon everyone.

Canne inspired me to get with the program. So now it's back on track and 1st day of Induction. I figured I'd do Induction for at least a week or 2 to get my system back in shape. I've had way too many carbs lately and I'm not losing.

I put the berries in the freezer and tossed the rest of the rice. So far, so good for today.

No news yet on SIL - I left a voicemail at home and on cell phone for MIL but no call back yet.

Sue, I am cracking up on the underwear. That is way too funny!

Robin - hope you are feeling better soon!

EZLoper: The stockyards??? Where in OK is it and WHAT is it, like a huge flea market?? I live in OK and would be tickled pink to find a new place to shop :carrot: :carrot:

Hey everyone!! I hope all is doing well. Today was an OP day for me. Only did 10 minutes on the bike, well almost 11 minutes it was 1 1/2 miles. I ate fine. I have been thinking about hitting induction real hard next week (after the BIG b-day party thisf weekend).

Robin~WOO HOO on joining the gym!! Glad you are starting to feel better.

To All~ Hi & have a GREAT Wednesday!!

Hi all

Wear cotton panties? What is up with that? I don't get it. Maybe in case you wet yourself? More absorbant?

Anyway, I have been on plan, too much salt yesterday led to a higher scale today, but I figure drinking a lot of water will flush it all back out.

Day after tomorrow I hit the big 50... Having midlife crises today thinking about it. Not sure why it should matter, it is only 2 days older than I am today, but I keep thinking I should have my life more together at this point. Not sure what should be different, but it seems like something should be.

Good news is that I hit my Groundhog's Day goal and went beyond it by half a pound yesterday, so everything seems to be on track and going as I expected.

Exercise is slipping some what. Need to work on it, but I got my fruit trees trimmed this morning and my roses cut back. Still need to do more with the trees, but up high were I can't reach.

Hello all,, giggling a lot reading your posts.. I begin my Atkins diet on Monday Feb 6, ..... go to the doctor on Thursday...... I was on the Atkins four yrs ago. and I lost 100 lbs. but, I stayed only on the induction. I failed the diet, the diet did not fail me,,, soo now I need to loose 120 lbs. It has taken me 4 yrs to even face another weight loss adventure,, however I found this site yesterday, and ladies let me tell you I'M EXCITED ABOUT DIETING AND CHANGING FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!! GOD LOVE ALL OF YOU......I DO TOO............:)

nasus40 02-01-2006 05:26 AM

Welcome Mrs Crockett. I was down in great shape 4 years ago too and again it took me this long to be able to jump in full steam ahead. welcome aboard and join the fun.

I am still giggling about the cotton panties. holy cow where did that come from. the pharmacy has no idea it is there. I sure did ask them too!1

Well I am hitting my massage therapist Sat. I saw her briefly for a chair massage to work out that bad kink I have had in my shoulders since early Dec. and it is working. so I am going for a full hit and run on this one. YES girls though I do not pamper my self in many ways, I do it right when I get the chance. :D!!!!

lady_adnerb 02-01-2006 09:44 AM

Lacy: You're right. Don't look at it as "just" or "only" 2 pounds. That is SO awesome!!!

Robin: Hope you're feeling better. That nasty bug is going around. DH got it (again) Let us know how you like the gym :)

EzLoper: Congrats on the pants being loose!!

Susan: How'd it go? WTG on getting back on track!

Canne:

Bec: WOW! You're doing awesome on that bike!

Sherry: Sounds like the trimming WAS exercise. Isn't it amazing how we always think exercise has to be a routine instead of just doing stuff like that? WTG on hitting your goal!!

MsCrockett: Welcome and come join us daily!! Seems there's ALWAYS something going on...whether it's funny stories or good advice...we seem to have it all here  WTG on starting a healthy WOE again :)

Sue: Enjoy the massage!! You know, I've been having kinks in my back and shoulders as well. Thought it was just because I was sleeping funny and needed a new pillow. I guess I should call the chiropractor (not sure the insurance would pay for a massage therapist) and get it straightened out.

Well, I went a little high on the carbs yesterday due to drinks (even though they were SF and made with half & half. Not alcoholic--just WARM stuff :) ). Not enough water--of course...and no exercise. So going to see if I can work back into that. I think back to a year or so ago...and the amount of exercise I was doing each day and can't figure out WHERE I got the motivation. Or the energy

bnbsmommy1 02-01-2006 10:02 AM

Morning girls and WELCOME Mrs.Crockett, so glad you found this forum!!

I'm super proud of myself for getting 4 pounds in and for some reason I've been on a salad kick lately and can't seem to get enough, very weird!!!

Busy day ahead for me, hope y'all have a great one!!

Hi all.
I did start phase one; but i got sick so I quit.
But I started today again; i feel better; just a bit lazy.

Do all of you use the strips? Do I need to use them?

What is the next mini goal after Valentines day.???

I started my phase 1 today; but I dont think I will seen any results??
I take pictures not weigh myself..
Maybe if I see a change I will post them.

hockeyfan7 02-01-2006 11:19 AM

Wow - I survived my first day on induction after a long time of being off the program and I was down 2 lbs this morning. One more to go to get to 249. I have been counting calories and drinking the water and exercising, but I just don't lose weight if I eat a lot of carbs. My body doesn't like them.

Robin - congrats on joining the gym. You'll be a gym rat in no time!

Ms. Crockett - welcome. I lost 140 lbs on this plan so you can do it too. It does work if you follow it. I've kept it off since I started in November 2000.

I'm sitting here today waiting on the DirecTV installer. I should be cleaning up my house, but I'm playing on the computer instead.

hockeyfan7 02-01-2006 11:41 AM

Oh and update on the SILs

Claire has viral meningitis and is home now. Doctors say she will go back and forth with a fever for about a week or so, but since she can keep down food and liquids now, she might as well do it at home.

Mary is 32 weeks along and they are going to take the baby at 34. The baby is 4 lbs right now, so the prognosis is good. She has a very thin and weak uterine wall, so they have her on 24 hour rupture watch in the hospital. She's getting really bored having to stay in bed all the time. But she's in good spirits.
