Hi! I think the best idea to getting started doing low carb is to first, decide that it is FOR SURE the diet that you'd like to live with for the rest of your life

People use many different methods to help get them started then they start knowing what their bodies do and don't lose weight eating. I think the two most popular low carb diets that people go with are either the south beach, or atkins. After you decide which you'd like to go with, I highly recommend reading the book...it is priceless and will answer a million of your questions

hope that helped!

Samura, I agree with Lacey completely. Once you decided ( or maybe while your deciding) join us in the weekly chat, it really helps keep me on track.

Samura, welcome! Truly the only way to decide if LC is the right path for you is to either read the book (borrow from the library, a friend, or check online about it). Some people start out on Atkins but decide it's too strict for them and switch to South Beach. I prefer Atkins because I personally NEED the strictness.
