Default How to trust labels?

When it says 0 carbs when really it is .99? Am I just supposed to assume that 0 carbs really isn't 0? Like in mayo...or cheese...or splenda flavored water? It said 0 carbs yet am I supposed to believe that?

you can trust the labels to a point. Most of us use fitday.com to keep track of our foods. You can imput new foods right from the label, and it will adjust if you have 2 or more servings. So your carb count will be accurate.

Actually I think they can only say 0 if it is less than 0.5. If it is between 0.5 and 0.99 it says <1. I believe that is the FDA rule. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. There are other rules for foods coming from other countries though so if you buy a lot of foreign food, be aware of that.
