Robin: I wish MY DH would help even if it is sweeping. Have fun w/your Thanksgiving

Lacey: Congrats on the 18's being too big!!! And if you can't brag about it here where CAN you?? I need to quit eating apples and get back to induction. Maybe THAT would get me on the straight path and back to losing weight. Let us know how the Ebay pants fit

I stink at water today. I wasn't home much so I didn't want to have to pee all the time I'm seriously thinking that I should go back to strict induction and see if THAT'LL jump start some weight loss. I'm thinking the apples and such aren't doing much help. I DID get some walking in today. Add that to the tromp through the woods yesterday and I'm doing pretty good for exercise

wohoo, 2 miles walked today! you guys are such an inspiration!!!

WTG with the exercising Brenda!

How much water do you all TRY to consume daily and how much do you ACTUALLY drink? I am TRYING 11 8 oz. glasses and only getting down maybe 6...I don't drink anything BUT water but have never been a real guzzler, ya know? Are there any little tricks that y'all have that help you drink more water??

wow, I'm sure a yacky thing lately. Is there a reward here for 'talks too much'?

tricks.....buy a big thermal jug that will hold 64oz of water. 2nd best tip, drink all water thru a straw. (dont know why but it helps get the water in faster and easier)

I drink 64oz before 3pm, then anything else is bonus.

Lacey: the only tips I can tell you is to TRY. I'm not the best at getting my water in. Buying a 64 oz mug did help (when I remembered to fill it ) because you know for sure how much you have to drink AND can chug more down. I do best drinking from a glass (or that mug) than a bottle of water. That seems to go faster for me. And nope, no reward except getting to know other people, letting them get to know you...and getting as much/little support as you want How's that for a reward??

Well, drank almost my water last night.....and ended up not sleeping well. You know, I noticed when I'm OP I don't sleep well (but AM tired a bit) but when I eat the carb junk I sleep through the night. Then again, when I'm on a carb-fest I don't drink as much water Maybe I've figured out the key!! But that's ok, I feel better OP so I'll (try to) stick to it. It's off for another tromp through the woods today. Gotta bait the deer and get that deer camera. I can't wait to see if there's anything on it. The last time we brought it home a deer was looking STRAIGHT at the camera as if to say "What YOU looking at"

I posted this morning, but I see its not here. Just when it was suppose to return to post, 3fc's went offline. So I guess my post didnt make it thru

I didnt have much to say anyway

Dh took me out to a new restaurant this afternoon for a late lunch, early supper. Its called Smokey Bones. Well......dh had the ribs, I had pulled pork and brisket sampler. The only thing either of us would recommend would be the pulled pork. It was deliciously smokey and didnt have much if any sauce on it. The ribs were salty, and its almost as if you could taste the oven it was smoked in????? Kinda had a metal taste? The brisket wasnt that great....compared to "Fat Bob's" here in Buffalo, the brisket there is really hard to beat. K, enough talk about food

Im on a free day today, so we indulged a bit. I'll be back to it tomorrow...I have to restock the veggie drawers.

I have a short rant....why is it people in vehicles have this need to make you wait for them to go by when its POURING RAIN???!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? One bugger just about hit me when I stepped off the curb at the post office. I didnt see him, and he swerved around a truck to get to right where I was!!! Of course he needed to get to the mail box and make me go around instead of being courteous. Guy just ticked me off. Alright Im done

Ive pulled out some of my art supplies, and since I dont have to make supper tonight, I think I'll do a bit of drawing, and see what I can do should be interesting

Have a good one.....where is everyone else today???

Lottie:

Robin: Sounds like you didn't have a good experience. I've never heard of either of those types of restaurants so I think I'm safe from bad food. And I don't have the willpower to stay away from fried foods so I'm better off staying home. I'm hoping to make it through the weekend cheat free. Made it through last night (DH suggested eating out or having take out. I said no. WAHOO!!) so it's 1 down 2 to go.
Off to go learn CPR and 1st aide again (renew the "license" for it) Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!!

Did you all know that Denny's has a low carb menu that is actually low carb? I realize that this is a 'breakfast' type place and of course it would have low carb food but it's pretty darn neat to see a section of the menu blocked off with carb count below each item just for ME

I lost two more pounds, I'm ALMOST past that 20 mark, it will mean so much for me to be in the teens and then out of the 200!!

ROBINW: I've been meaning to ask, what is protein power??

better get off my buns and get some housework done!

I posted too and it went away...hmmmm? Well, I thought I lost a couple more pounds a few days ago, but I have seemed to gain them back somehow. I guess I will really know tomorrow when I do the official weigh-in and measuring. I don't know what I'm doing wrong...I should still be in induction.

Good Morning

Lacey~ protein power is a book similar atkins, but you count your protein intake, and the carbs are a bit looser. It worked for me at the time, Atkins wasnt around (except for the 1972 version) at the time. When Atkins had its 2nd coming, I has already lost about 80 lbs, so I stuck with what I was doing. The reason I went on Atkins later was because I couldnt find my protein power book Atkins was in at the library. And WTG on the 20lbs gone!!

Audrey~ You're doing great!! Are you drinking your water? Many times loss wont come unless your getting your min water intake in. Are your exercising? Eating your veggies? Post your a typical days menu, maybe we can spot something. Remember tho, the closer you get to goal, the slower your going to go.

Brenda~ its not fried, it was all bbq'd....a serious weekness for me Sounds like your doing good!! Congrats on saying no to eating out. I have a hard time with that. My ex never....and I mean never took me to dinner. So when hubby wants to take me out, I jump at it Gotta love him We have a few restaurants I can go to that lets me eat op.

Dh has taken his grandaughter to her tae kwon do this morning, so Im sitting here thinking I should go take a shower

I have a question for all you ladies.....Ive been looking for some nice cute stationary for my dd's penpal. Where can I find this stuff???? There used to be a company up in canada that used to make lots of that stuff, but Im not there anymore. Ive been to target, kmart, and walmart to check for stationary, and the office places, but no one has what Im looking for. Remember those nice little pkg's that had pretty printed paper, and matching envelopes? I even checked cardsmart. I havent checked halmark, I just thought of it while I was typing this. But do you know of any place that still carries these out in the real world or online?

Well, I better get my butt in gear too...have a great day everyone!

Breakfast - Usually a sausage patty and eggs.

Lunch - Typically a salad with some grilled chicken. Shredded cheese and eggs with dressing.

Dinner - Varies, parents have been on Atkins for awhile, so they do all the cooking and it's stuff that's on the diet for sure.

I had to quit drinking diet coke because I just figured out that I'm allergic to it, so that isn't what's wrong.

are you eating enough? Are you eating your full 20 carbs? Not eating enough will also stall you out.

I found when I ate hamburger more than once a week, I didnt loose as much. If your using the atkins bars, and what not, that might stall you out too. I never had much luck with that stuff.

Do you keep track of your food on fitday? Do you know your calorie and carb intake?

See, I haven't really been watching calorie intake...that might be it.

I had a really rough day. My husband not being here is really starting to get to me. I ate bad, but as soon as I ate that one bad thing I knew I shouldn't have I didn't give myself the excuse as to blow the rest of the day or go off the diet completely. I'm sure I will gain in a few days from one chicken sandwich (it was even grilled...I just ate the bun too), but something this afternoon completely made up for it. I went to MIL's today and my husband's grandmother asked me if I had been losing weight because she could tell something was different. She is the first person to comment about me looking skinnier which helped me though my rough time today. Everyone else that I see I see on a daily basis, so they I don't think can tell because I'm with them all the time. I only need to lose forty pounds, which is a lot, but not as much as most. 165 lbs is a lot on a 5'2" person...especially since I used to be 5'3" and having two babies made me shrink an inch.

I think my problem is I haven't really been counting. I've been looking at foods going, okay these are good to eat and these aren't....and I've been limiting what I've been eating (not binging on anything by any means). I think I need to start journaling. Thanks for listening to me whine guys! You are the best!
