I posted too and it went away...hmmmm? Well, I thought I lost a couple more pounds a few days ago, but I have seemed to gain them back somehow. I guess I will really know tomorrow when I do the official weigh-in and measuring. I don't know what I'm doing wrong...I should still be in induction.

Good Morning

Lacey~ protein power is a book similar atkins, but you count your protein intake, and the carbs are a bit looser. It worked for me at the time, Atkins wasnt around (except for the 1972 version) at the time. When Atkins had its 2nd coming, I has already lost about 80 lbs, so I stuck with what I was doing. The reason I went on Atkins later was because I couldnt find my protein power book  Atkins was in at the library. And WTG on the 20lbs gone!! :bravo:

Audrey~ You're doing great!! Are you drinking your water? Many times loss wont come unless your getting your min water intake in. Are your exercising? Eating your veggies? Post your a typical days menu, maybe we can spot something. Remember tho, the closer you get to goal, the slower your going to go.

Brenda~ its not fried, it was all bbq'd....a serious weekness for me  Sounds like your doing good!! Congrats on saying no to eating out. I have a hard time with that. My ex never....and I mean never took me to dinner. So when hubby wants to take me out, I jump at it :) Gotta love him :D We have a few restaurants I can go to that lets me eat op.

Dh has taken his grandaughter to her tae kwon do this morning, so Im sitting here thinking I should go take a shower

I have a question for all you ladies.....Ive been looking for some nice cute stationary for my dd's penpal. Where can I find this stuff???? There used to be a company up in canada that used to make lots of that stuff, but Im not there anymore. Ive been to target, kmart, and walmart to check for stationary, and the office places, but no one has what Im looking for. Remember those nice little pkg's that had pretty printed paper, and matching envelopes? I even checked cardsmart. I havent checked halmark, I just thought of it while I was typing this. But do you know of any place that still carries these out in the real world or online?

Well, I better get my butt in gear too...have a great day everyone!

Breakfast - Usually a sausage patty and eggs.

Lunch - Typically a salad with some grilled chicken. Shredded cheese and eggs with dressing.

Dinner - Varies, parents have been on Atkins for awhile, so they do all the cooking and it's stuff that's on the diet for sure.

I had to quit drinking diet coke because I just figured out that I'm allergic to it, so that isn't what's wrong.

are you eating enough? Are you eating your full 20 carbs? Not eating enough will also stall you out.

I found when I ate hamburger more than once a week, I didnt loose as much. If your using the atkins bars, and what not, that might stall you out too. I never had much luck with that stuff.

Do you keep track of your food on fitday? Do you know your calorie and carb intake?

aovercast 10-08-2005 08:33 PM

See, I haven't really been watching calorie intake...that might be it.

I had a really rough day. My husband not being here is really starting to get to me. I ate bad, but as soon as I ate that one bad thing I knew I shouldn't have I didn't give myself the excuse as to blow the rest of the day or go off the diet completely. I'm sure I will gain in a few days from one chicken sandwich (it was even grilled...I just ate the bun too), but something this afternoon completely made up for it. I went to MIL's today and my husband's grandmother asked me if I had been losing weight because she could tell something was different. She is the first person to comment about me looking skinnier which helped me though my rough time today. Everyone else that I see I see on a daily basis, so they I don't think can tell because I'm with them all the time. I only need to lose forty pounds, which is a lot, but not as much as most. 165 lbs is a lot on a 5'2" person...especially since I used to be 5'3" and having two babies made me shrink an inch.

I think my problem is I haven't really been counting. I've been looking at foods going, okay these are good to eat and these aren't....and I've been limiting what I've been eating (not binging on anything by any means). I think I need to start journaling. Thanks for listening to me whine guys! You are the best!

Audrey: Way to go for not falling off the bandwagon completely...I've always heard that if you cheat it helps to go back into induction to jumpstart your body but so far haven't had to see. AWESOME on getting a compliment, doesn't it just make your whole day!! I can't imagine how stressfull it would be without my husband home to vent to or to watch the kids for a while. Vent away...

Robin..I've ordered from beckyspapercreations.com before and she makes custom stuff as well I bet she could whip something up for you! Can't get any more original than some custom work ;)

how many calories do you all try to stick to?? I haven't counted my calories either...

Sunday

Audrey: Feel free to rant all you want. Or feel free to email me with your rants....I'll listen :) And congrats on not blowing the whole day! Being under stress while trying to lose weight/eat right is VERY hard so you're doing a great job!! Keep up the great work!!

Lacey: WTG on the 2 pounds!! And thanks for the information on Dennys'. Nice to know some places are accomodating :)

Robin: Sorry I can't help with the stationery question--but now that you mention it I haven't seen them around here either. Have you thought about making (on the computer) some for her? Good luck w/finding it.

I stayed OP yesterday! Wahoo!! Now I need to cut down on soda, drink more water (I wasn't home and soda was the only way to keep me awake) and I should be doing ok :) Actually looking forward to Wednesdays WI even if it is only a pound I'll be excited!! It means that I'm on the way to a downward goal instead of gaining again. And I'm SICK of doing that again!! Today it's brats and hamburgers and a salad for supper. On the grill (gonna be chilly grilling it but someone was grilling yesterday and it smelled SO good!!). Have a BD party to go to for my niece's boy but hoping not to stick around for the cake  Have a great day everyone and see you tomorrow :)

Good Morning Brenda, and all to come

Have fun at the b-day party Brenda! Sounds like your starting to get back into the swing of things.

I dragged dh around yesterday trying to find some stationary. The only place that really had any sets was barnes and noble. But a little too pricey, and a little to grown up. So I did some searching online and found some nice free sites. Cute stuff too.

I think I'll do some cooking this afternoon, and get everything together for tomorrow. Im still not sure who all is going to make it, but regardless we'll have lots

Have a great day everyone!

Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. I've been working or sleeping. Too tired to get on here, even. sad, i know.lol.
I had to go grocery shopping on Saturday to stock back up on meats, veggies. Got some great deals! Plus, I'm a bit of a coupon whore for everything else.lol.
Tomorrow is weigh day for me...I'm a bit weery of that.lol. I went to a Tupperware party the other night..and well..let's say I cheated a little. I had this concoction which was made of corned beef, potatos, carrots, and some other stuff..it was only a 2 inch piece..but still.....and on top of that...I had this dessert that had a graham cracker crust(a weakness for me), and pudding and whipped cream. So..I did bad that night. That was my only cheats for the week, though. So, I guess it could be worse. I will probably eat me a salad in a little bit. boil me some eggs...hmm..sounds good.lol
Well..that was just a quickie for now. I'll be lucky if I lost 2 lbs this week.

aovercast 10-10-2005 09:38 AM

Brenda - Good job on staying OP! Makes your whole day doesn't it?

Robin - The stationary I've been using to write to my husband I bought at Target. They have some really nice cute stuff!

For my first positive note for the day....I put on a skirt that I haven't been able to wear in years!!!!!! I was a tad overweight before I started having kids, so I know I still have a long way to go, but it feels really good to be able to start wearing my pre-baby clothes again.

I stayed OP yesterday, I just need to work on water intake...I just don't like the taste of the stuff!
