lottie: :wave: Hi there and welcome. I didn't know rice was low carb. Did someone come out with a new brand that's lower than others?? Would love to find some of that!!

Mindy: The cool part about this site is because we not only encourage each other we also learn about each other. So brag away about your DD tying her shoes! Bravo for her!! And thanks for the kick in the pants--you're right, he didn't FORCE me to eat it. lol. And yup, he's on Atkins also but tends to forget that if he mentions breaking the WOE then I'm game :lol: I need to get more willpower. Told him from now on things weren't allowed in the house so I'm not tempted.

Yes, that means tomorrow is a "do-over". The good thing is--I got my water intake in :lol: Won't mention the carmels and such. I WILL get the hang of this WOE again!! I want to be back to at least 140!!! Ok. WI tomorrow to start the week off getting my siggie straight...and then WI again (but no loss) on Wednesday for the "official" one w/everyone. If I'm lucky the scale won't show a huge increase or if it does it decreases decently on Wednesday. I bought some DT Mt Dew and that usually cleans out my system....so maybe that'd help decrease by 5 pounds :lol:

Brenda~I've already cleaned my cabinets out. The only sweets I buy now, are the little bags for Zoey. this way nothing goes bad. Publix(our local supermarket) had a great sale on those..so, I went crazy. Plus, they have the best low carb options!

Mindy: Good suggestion! I'll have to start buying just singles instead of bags. THAT'S where I get into trouble because they're RIGHT THERE. And I need to start stocking up on LC candy bars so if I'm tempted I have an option to get the RIGHT kind. Thanks for the suggestion/help!

Well, I had to readjust my siggie up a pound. I'd rather be adjusting for DOWNWARDS stuff. But it was my own fault. So now told DH (again) that I had to keep on LC because otherwise I feel bloated and ick!! Tomorrow I'm also going to try and do w/out soda. Hoping that'll work. I'm thinking the soda some reason prevents me from loosing. The last time I gave it up I lost 2 pounds (gained it back in a carb fest--but I KNOW it can be done now) so I'm hoping to see how that works. Giving it 2 weeks because then I have a Women's Retreat I'm going on and LC won't be an option. But it'll be right back on LC when I get back. I need to lose this 10 pounds and would like to do it before DH's cousins' wedding in 1 month....or at least would like to lose it before Christmas!! I should set THAT as the goal. That would probably be doable..yes?

Thanks for the luck..so far so good. I'm nearing the end of my second week.

I stay up late and wake up late and hadn't eaten all day yet so that was lunch... :)

I'm sorry! You must not have noticed the '' around rice, meaning fake rice, made with califlower...

I've been doing atkins again for a week now...and like last time I've completely lost my appetite and food doesn't tase good, there's an almost metallic taste...has anyone else experienced this?

I understand completely. I've worked graveyard the last few days..and again tonight(ugh)..so, you know what i'm eating right now? dinner..consisting of two eye round steaks. They aren't that big. Is there any low carb steak sauce out there that I need to know about. Right now, I'm using mayo(I love mayo), but would like something different.
This steak is awful, btw..lol My SO made it..so, that may have something to do with it. But, I think it has more to do with where we bought it...lol. I'm starting to get very particular where I buy my meats since I'm on this diet.

Geez girl..where's your self control..lol. If anything, while you are away at the retreat(must be a church thing :P), try to drink only diet drinks, water at least. I know you can do that..I have faith in you!

Why do I have bad breath?
Bad breath is from the production of ketones as you burn body fat and is a good sign that the diet is working. Ketone production is necessary for continuing weight loss. To counteract the odor, you may increase to a slightly higher carbohydrate level; however, this can slow down weight loss. You may also use chlorophyll (must be sugarless), eat more parsley and dark green, leafy vegetables, and be sure that your water intake is at least 8 or more glasses daily (use water, not another flavored beverage).

This may have something to do with it...I hope this helps.
