Good Morning
Brenda~ Have your notes written out yet? The cabin fever is started already because dh has been out working on a job site, and Ive been stuck home. With pretty much nothing to do. Our sign business we run out of the house, and thankfully the rest of the week is going to be really busy. We are a one vehicle family, so its hard to get around some days. Im still thinking about the metro tho. Bec~ I hope they were happy thoughts when you were eating your veggies  I watched Oprah yesterday......and Im really not a big fan, but Wynona was on!! She has a new book out, and Im thinking this is something I just might want to read. Im going to go check it out at the book store tonight. Well, I had better get my rear in gear...have a great day everyone, I'll check back tonight. |
Just checking in, been on the puppy fast track....glad to see you are doing well and that life goes on as usual. :)

Thursday
Bec: CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss. You're doing an excellent job--keep it up! I know it's hard but keep reminding yourself that it's HIS loss! Hugs and God will help you get through this if you let Him! WAY TO GO on the exercise! And yup, dancing around the house IS exercise :) Keep up the great work!
Robin: I don't think I could handle not having a vehicle (even though I'm not working right now). I'm still running around doing things (grocery shopping, GS and other stuff) so I need a vehicle. Not sure I'd have the guts to do public transportation if it was available here. Nope, haven't gotten the notes up yet. Seems I'm always rushing off to do other things. I mainly need a reminder to drink water. It was good last week because I had a stuffy nose-which led to breathing out my mouth-which dried out my lips---so it was easy to remember to drink then  L: Have fun in puppyland :) I am SOO tired. Not sure what the problem is today. Tomorrow we have bowling and I think this weekend I'm going to work on getting the pool taken down (supposed to be the warmest it's been in a while--70's) PLUS get the garage cleaned out. That should be plenty of exercise  now I just have to work on the water part. I THINK I got the amount in yesterday. Forgot to count the glasses. I only need to drink 4 in order to get the recommended amount. But that just seems like SUCH hard work  |
Good Morning y'all. Here it is, Thursday. I've started the day out right so far. However, I think I left my motivation to clean on the sidewalk somewhere
I walked a little over a mile..even passed by a yard sale and just kept walking(a tough feat for me!) Came home, ate some eggs and bacon. There's 1.2 carbs so far :D I'm still in induction..I'm going to take it thru next Wednesday since I cheated two days last week..yeah, it was worth it. So far dinner is planned with the Crockpot Italian Chicken in Cream Sauce with Steamed Green Beans and probably salad. I need to find a recipe for a garlic type sauce for the green beans, though. I want something other than butter! I'm aiming to go walking again later..possibly with my 4 year old..don't know yet on that. Lunch...no clue yet..maybe some egg salad...I made some really good egg salad last night for my SO. I ate the little bit that didn't fit in his wrap. I cooked up some bacon and put it in there for some crunch. Yummy..lol. |
 Im here. Just not in the greatest of spirits. I'll check back later.

Hello ladies! My computer has been on the fritz for the last few days so I haven't been able to check in. Its amazing how much I missed it!
Eating is going pretty good, but water and exercise are not. I just can't seem to gag all that water down - even a little at a time throughout the day. Crystal Light is a little easier, but I'm getting pretty sick of that too. Bec - what is a "reverse crunch"? Does it work the lowest part of the abs? Like where its all saggy from having twins on board? I really need help right there. Also, how do you like BodyFlex? I have a couple Oxycise tapes (which I think is basically the same thing) but I haven't used them yet. Brenda - I've never tried anything that was made with chocolate and saltines before, but I bet it was good. Its that "sweet & salty" combination that I love. One of my favorite things to make for Christmas is chocolate dipped Pringles. Ooooohhh they're so yummy. Everyone thinks they are incredibly weird until they try them, and then they can't get enough! Robin - Hi! Take care all and have a good OP day! -Sarah |
Friday
Mindy: I think your motivation and mine took a walk together  Sounds like you had your meals all planned out--good for you!!
Robin: Hugs and hope things are ok!!! Just give me a holler if you need an ear! Sarah: The pringles sound interesting. HOw do you do it to dip them? All w/out making them look funky that is  Maybe for Christmas I'll try that. Decided next week I'm going w/out soda again. I'm thinking that's what's making me not lose. Then again, my body could just be being stubborn  I got my water in yesterday. WAHOO!! Had to make a trip to the ER last night. Youngest DD had gone hunting with DH and her legs were sleeping....she tried to get up and fell into a thorn bush. Well, we thought it was bigger than it was. Not to mention it started to swell up and really hurt her. I couldn't get it out and called the nurses # and they suggested bringing her in. It'll probably be sore today (I saw the way they were taking it out!!) because it had broken into pieces....well, enough said on that so I don't gross people out. Tonight is bowling and DH has to once again work all weekend. So the DD's and I will try and get some of the garage cleaned out w/out him. Should be interesting  Have a great weekend everyone!! |
Brenda~ Thankyou for your ear when I need it :) Your poor dd, I can only hope she remembers it with alot of humour when she gets older.
Tickle~ I think Ive made that crockpot chicken before...how did yours turn out? I think I may have to make it again!! Looks like everyone is doing well :) Ive thown myself a 2 day pity party. So, I got my big boots out this morning, and promptly gave myself a good swift kick. Ive done something to my back. Ive never had a "bad back" but my muscles up and down my spine were so knotted, and painful I was in tears. Its a bit better this morning, as least I can lift the brita water jug without clenching up. So, the moral of the story???? If your 40ish and you've not been exercising much for the last few years....GO SLOW!! Working on these big signs Ive had to do, certainly doesnt help. Ive been walking around smelling like a big pink mint from the icyhot. So Ive been working for about an hour, then I get out my exercise ball, and stretch my back, back out. Hopefully I'll be done with all of them, they will be put up today and tomorrow morning, then dh and I are going to see about getting a higher table to work at. Eating has been off....big time! Im back to it today, until supper anyway. Dh promised to take me out to dinner tonight. Anywhere I want to go....so thats something to think about today :) I'll be back to my program tomorrow 100% with modified exercise. Thats whats happening around here.....have a great day everyone |
Robin~yeah..I read somewhere in here that you made it. I loved it..my 4 y/o loved it. Shawn..it was too cheesy for him. However, the steamed green beans didn't taste too hot. I'm trying to go completely to fresh veggies.
Brenda~cut them sodas girl! crystal light, here you come..lol. I'm having some right this second..lol..lemonade to be exact. However, I hate the other flavors. Where I come from fake tea is not acceptable.lol. Sarah~reverse crunches are probably my favorite...I hope this is the same way that Bec is thinking of...you lie down, lift your legs, bend your knees at a 90* angle. Tighten them abs, push your legs out, bring in. If that is understandable. You'll really feel it in your midriff. |
Saturday
Robin: Sorry to hear about your back! I hope it's better now. I can sympathise with you--even though I don't throw mine out doing exercise...mine (mainly my neck) goes out getting out of bed  And this all started when I turned 30! :lol3: Take it easy til it's better!!
Mindy: I've never made crockpot chicken or anything. Stuff in the slow cooker yes. So what's the difference between a slow cooker and crock pot?? I know, at my age you'd think I'd know these things but I'm not an adventurous cooker  I have to go soda free because there is no more in the house. But plenty of crystal light (and yup, it's tea flavored  ) Well, won't discuss eating habits last night. I need to learn the word NO when DH suggests getting take out. So it's back to normal again today and of course soda free (unless I go to the store and buy one). I should get the 1/2 cans so that I don't get the caffeine withdrawal headaches. But it should be an ok day---I have to take the DD's to the woods and "feed the deer" and then I want to get some of the garage cleaned out. Which means probably buying some storage containers for the summer pool stuff. I'd rather not throw it in garbage bags to store them because I'd probably throw it away thinking it was junk  Well, off to go drink some water, eat breakfast and away I go for my day :) Hope you all have a great weekend!!! |
'ello everyone. I'm new here but not to atkins, I lost 70 lbs in 7 months before on it before I gained it all back and then some due to this horrid medication depakote and the fact that I had to stop working and became totally lazy! Well atkins is the only thing that's EVER worked for me so i'm coming back to it. I started on monday and have loset 6 lbs so far. 12 lbs total from previously using xenical....
Well my eating has been good, pretty much just chicken and veggies, which can be boring but I'd rather be bored than fat. :) |

yeah..in the south, it's a disgrace to drink tea that hasn't been brewed..lol Sorry to hear your husband held a gun to your head to make you eat all that naughty stuff..shame shame on you..lol..just kidding. Lucky for me, I have my SO on it, too. So, he can't do that. I just had him go out for low carb ice cream from Edy's. Only 4 carbs per serving. I love that stuff..and the low carb chocolate milk..only 4 carbs..that is a good, too...lol I'm doing up pork chops tonight and broccoli & cheese, and probably salad. Oh..I'm going to try out that new McCormick Veggie Steamers for the broccoli. I love steamed broccoli, so we'll see how this goes. I know this is way off topic..and it probably doesn't belong on this board..lol..but, I have to brag to everyone..my 4 y/o learned to tie her shoes!! she'll be 5 a few days before Thanksgiving. I started teaching her yesterday..and she's got it. A little slow still, but she's so very proud of herself. Okay..I'll quit now! ;) |

I know about the boring thing..I've been eating eggs a lot..and getting tired of it now..lol. I plan on buying those thinly sliced steaks and pork chops to cook for breakfast. yeah..us southerners eat weird..but hey. I just need something else to eat besides that. I'm still in induction til Wednesday. Originally it was Monday, but since we cheated two days while in Orlando, we are going the extra two days. |
Quote:
Did you guys see the 'fried rice' recipe? I wanna try that so bad....but i'mon my way out to lunch with a friend.... last time I did induction for 4 months..wow was that tough! good luck to ya... :) |
