Wednesday Chat - October 27th

  • Good Morning !!

Can't stay long, very busy, plus the boss man is visiting us today...dang it! When will they learn I am self-sufficient (sp? )

    How's everyone doing?
  • Hi everyone.

Hi Leenie, Your boss man is there way too much!
  • Leenie: It won't take long for him to realise it. Maybe he hasn't realised HE'S the one not needed? Have a good day.

    Sonnet:

Well, another day, another bloody nose. GRRRR. It takes forever to get them stopped. Been like 2 months since my last one so what's up with this??
I'm determined to be OP today!!!! If not I'm sewing then taping my mouth shut!!!
  • Feel better Brenda !!
    Hi Sonny

    Just a quick funny!!

A lonely woman, aged 70, decided that it was time to get married.

She put an ad in the local paper that read:

HUSBAND WANTED ! MUST BE IN MY AGE GROUP (70's), MUST NOT BEAT ME, MUST NOT RUN AROUND ON ME, AND MUST STILL BE GOOD IN BED!
ALL APPLICANTS PLEASE APPLY IN PERSON.

On the second day she heard the doorbell.

She opened the door, and much to her dismay, she saw a gray-haired gentleman sitting in a wheel chair.

He had no arms or legs.
The old woman said, "You're not really asking me to consider you, are you?

Just look at you....you have no legs!
"The old man smiled, "Therefore I cannot run around on you!"

She snorted. "You don't have any hands either!"
Again the old man smiled, "Nor can I beat you!"

She raised an eyebrow and gazed intently. "Are you still good in bed?"

With that, the old gentleman leaned back, beamed a big broad smile and said,

    I rang the doorbell didn't I?"

  • Brenda, Sorry to hear you have a bloody nose. That doesn't sound good.

    Leenie, He used his nose???
  • HAR!!!!

Brenda- Yucky....never had a bloody nose but I've got students who get them...I guess because art is so stressful

    Sonnet

Leenie- Who do these "bosses" think they are?????. wait. I guess it's pretty self explanitory.

well, TOM is really kickin my butt....not that it particularly hurts or anything but I was up 6 times last night with it, and thats NEVER happened before...Im a 3 day girl..........needless to say, after work today it's off to walmart for a new matress cover and egg crate

Have been doing pretty well staying OP....this site helps so much...I think I might actually be losing again but I haven't been on the scale and not going there till sunday morning....I just cant handle the up and down daily weighing bring....hope everyone has a great day....a great OP day!
  • Leenie: That joke is SOO funny! Hmm..definitely must have used his nose

Marie: OMG what I wouldn't give to only have TOM 3 days!! I remember those days---but I was on birth control at the time I miss those days!! Glad you're not crampy

So far so good with being OP. I'm off to take daughters to the store. Oldest and I are getting glasses. Well, oldest is getting new ones. I'm just getting new lenses put in these frames. There's nothing wrong w/them and I figure I don't look at myself so why should I bother switching frames
  • OP still...but trying to figure out how the devil I spent so much on glasses? Well, technically I didn't spend all that much considering. $300 for 1 pair of glasses, 2 exams, and lenses for my frames. I used to spend that much just for almost ONE pair (why do they call them a pair when it's only ONE?) of glasses. So this is cheap. Not to mention the 1 pair of weekly contacts (wear them each day, take them out and clean them, put them in the next day), 6 pair of daily (wear them each day, take them out and throw them away) and a pair of day & nights (wear them day & nights w/out taking them out for a month. Can't wait to try those buggers out!!). So yah, guess I got my money's worth. DH will be ticked though cuz I only said it'd be around $200.
  • Hi Marie! I hope you feel better soon. 7 days of pain for me, not a day less. I lose the entire week to TOM. I hate house guests. LOL
    Congrats on being OP.

Hi Brenda, I know, aren't glass prices the pitts? DH and I both need exams and frames...the works. DH is more blind, so he goes first. Oh, and to top it off last time I got new glasses, they mixed up my lenses left to right, right to left. I thouhgt for quite a while I was just going plain blind for months. I never went back and told them...why bother? LOL

See you all in the am. Oh, I've been OP.
  • Thanks sonn....I think I've tamed it

    I stayed OP too....
