Gosh darn it, I have been being good all day until the evening and then I mess up! Today it was plums and the day before cereal. I don't know what the heck is wrong with me ever since I got back from vacation I am having the hardest time stayng OP and then I of course kick my own a** and feel crappy and that doesn't help.

I know there is more to it than that....every time I go home and spend time with my friends and family I get incredibly homesick when I get back here, and I am just depressed. I do love it in Oregon but I miss my friends in Calif so much and I feel so comfortable when I am there cause we all are the same age, all have 2 kids around the same age and all have the same goals. Here I am one of the only ones that has little kids, so I miss them and seeing them everyday.

Sorry to hear you're so down in the dumps TG!! Trying to stay OP while down in the dumps is just the pits. I find myself in the same boat on that one. Not due to missing family, I can't even explain WHY I'm in the dumps.
But when you're back to your normal, happy again you'll be right back OP and going strong. So just take the time you need to get yourself happy again, check out some LC treats you like and chew on those instead of cereal. You can do it

Hugs Theo, we do understand. Please know that we do care about you and your feelings and don't be sorry, we all need to talk and vent, thats what support is all about but you know, its more than support here, we've become like cyber sisters, family.

Theo'sgirl: If we didn't turn to food when we are down I don't think half of us would be here! Just be good to yourself for a while.
Like Brenda said....get some legal snacks in the house so that when you want to munch to make you feel better at least they will be OP snacks.

Thanks guys for the pep talk I am trying to get myself in a better state of mind. Yesterday I rid the house of bad things, the only thing I can't get rid of is the fruit since the kids eat it (I wish I liked strawberries....then it probably wouldn't be so bad.)

Sorry you're feeling so down. At least you recognize the connection between feeling down and eating. That's definite progress in my book! I used to not get the pattern, even though I was doing it.

It's also easy to get de-railed after a vacation. I'm still trying to get it back together consistently after my vacation, in June!

You can do it! You are an inspiration! I was amazed by all the exercise you were doing before vacation. You'll get back on track. We're all pulling for you!
