Question shall i restart do ya think?

hello everyone,
back to the board after hectic few weeks here in the uk. I feel I have been very disciplined in my woe and after 4 weeks lost 11lbs. great. trouble is, and i know i'm perhaps unrealistic but i lost 9 of those in 2 weeks and nothing now seems to be budging! I have upped my carb content but only 25 and although i'm eating nuts and gorgeous atkins choco bars i'm still rigorous in counting and exercising 3 times a week. I go on holiday in just over 2 weeks and would like to squeeeze into existing clothes,so would it be beneficial to go back to induction do you think? have any of you done that to get some flab shifted quicker?any advice would be very gratefully received .
love to all
chris

I think at any time its wonderful to go on induction. I try to keep my carbs at 20 all the time, its what I eat that changes.

Good Luck !!!

Try skipping the Atkins choco bars. Might be the problem. They always say your body needs time to adjust to different weights. Maybe you're just in a holding pattern. Good luck!

Don't I always have something to say?

First, get rid of those chocolate bars! Sugar alcohols are terrible and, IMO, should be counted as regular carbs. Who cares if they impact your blood sugar? Your body still digests the nasty buggers. (See the Sugar Alcohol section in the FAQ at the top of the Atkins forum for more on this.)

Second, the weight you lose in the first 2 weeks is mostly water. This means that it's the most rapid loss. Now you're into losing fat and that can take time. Work on really changing your eating habits and getting the right exercise and it will come off!

I agree with getting rid of the Atkins bars. They are a nice treat but even low carb junk food is still junk food. Also if you have started excersizing more than you were before Atkins you could be replacing your fat loss with muscle gain. Don't forget to measure your inches too. The scale might not budge but you could still be losing sizes. I have noticed that most people seem to do inches every 2 weeks or so instead of every week like weighing in. I only do mine once a month right now.

Goodluck and keep up the good work. Your body just might need some rest too like Brenda said.
