Talking Good News!!!!!

Hiya Ladies.....Sorry that I haven't been around much the last couple of days, but have just not been feeling very well. Been more tired than usual the last week or so!!! Well, today I found the reason for that......I AM PREGNANT!!!!!!!!! I am still really in shock....me and my DH have been together for almost 16 years...and married for 4. This is our first child. We haven't really been "trying" just figured if it happened then that would be God's plan!!!!! We told both of our families tonight...and to say everyone was excited and shocked would be an understatement!!! Just thought I would share my news with all of you. Don't know exacatly how I am gonna stick to atkins during the pregnancy, but I am gonna check out the website and see what it says about it. Thinking I am just gonna need to up my carbs some. i told DH earlier......i have lost 60 lbs since starting out...and if this pregnancy makes me gain it all back he is dead meat!!! Cross your fingers for me that everything works out great!!!!!

Lisa

Congrats, MrsH!! That is great news!! You're right -- from what I've read, you'll need to up your carbs, but with the right carbs. You'll do great! Congrats again!!!

Congratulations!!! Truly a blessing! You will have to take your carbs up to at least 70 a day I believe. But usually just adding a couple of glasses of whole milk will get you 1/2 way there!

That is great news!! Congratulations to you and your DH! Hopefully you don't gain that much weight..otherwise your child will grow up w/only one parent. Poor thing. How would you explain THAT to him/her??

OH HOW WONDERFUL !!!

Please do not worry about dieting during your pregnancy, just follow your doctors instructions, they DO know best. Take care of yourself and the little one YIPPPEEEEEE............Take LOTs of folic acid, this is so important to a babies development and stay away from diet soda's, chemicals, etc... that stuff is not good for babies/children.

I'm sorry if I crossed the line here, I'm just so excited for you!!!

YIPPPPEEEE Nothing I love more than a baby, especially when it is someone elses!!! hahahahaha just kidding CONGRATS!!! talk to your doctor and consult the website, if you stick with lotsa veggies, some meat and some dairy you will do fine. Although I wouldn't be surprised by the ice cream craving in the middle of the night!! The best pregnancys are spent not worrying about stuff so dont' worry about weight and stuff like that and walking and yoga are GOOOOOOD so just keep active even though you are tired. My 2 cents, HAVE FUN and enjoy it! The reward at the end is like no other!

Congratulations! You and hubby must be so excited! Babies are so cute, then they become toddlers, then they become people! Actually, I must admit, I love babies.

Yippee!!! How exciting for you! According to the atkins website, you should do the maintenance phase while your preggers. If you go there and do a search on pregnant or pregnancy, you can find a good, true story on it, too.

Congrats!!!!
