Any plans for Mutha's Day this weekend, I know I'll be running to the Inlaws then to my Mom's then if there's any time in the day left for me I might have a cocktail Nahhh, I just wanna spend time with dd.

Saturday night my two sisters want me to go to a dance w/them but all the guys look like funeral parlor guys, you know with the hair long on one side and they flip it over to cover their bald spots then they spray the crap out of it so it looks really stiff, like donald trumps hair, ICK !!!!!!!! Yeah I've been to these dances a few times b/4. Think I'm gonna stay home and play strip pok-her w/hubby

I'm sure we'll do the round. Except my mom is celebrating on Saturday (so that means I've gotta get the shopping done tonight). And truthfully? All I want for mother's day is for my DH to get back on 1st shift. GRR. But not gonna happen anytime soon I don't think. I'm thinking that's where some of my crabbiness is coming from. I've stayed OP but no weight is dropping. Lack of exercise. Lack of ambition TO exercise. I mean what's the good of getting skinny (besides for myself) if the ONE person I want to notice isn't around? Looks like no pok-her for me this weekend

Good morning chiquitas!!

Well I am down another pound today so thet is GOOD! Bad part is with the kids having the stomach flu and my mom coming into town this weekend I haven't been to the gym in days!! So I have been feelin' like a slug. The boys are finally all better and I have alot of housework to do before my neat freak mom gets here, but I am gonna try my hardest at least to get one day in at the gym.

Mom's day we are going out to brunch and then all the girls and mom are going to go do something all of us together. That should be fun!!

Morti: I have watched the family plots and I think they were more disrespectful to eachother than the deceased. But I guess that is what happens when a family works so close together. The thing I didn't like is the dad picks up all the dead people and brings them back to the funeral home, but he never does this on time, the man is late everytime they show him and I am thinking jeeesh the nursing home is stuck with that dead person while you are late! You'll have to watch it though it is really good.

TG: Glad everyone is back to feeling better. I know the feeling of rushing to clean before family arrives -- I'm always doing that!

My Mother's Day plans include sending a card, so nothing really special going on there.

I finally braved the soy milk. I was so scared of it. Just the sound of it makes me kind of ill. But, last night, I just grabbed some. I wasn't even thinking of buying it, but somehow it ended up in my cart! So, I tried it, and it's fabulous! I know what you ladies are talking about now. I got the chocolate, and it's so good -- like a dessert!

What did you all think of "Friends"? I thought it was going to be all mushy and sad, but there were still lots of funny parts (which is good since that's the reason I like the show).

Good Morning every one! Yes it is fRiday and I'm glad , got the next three days off, but have to work the next 10. Oh well.

Mother's Day - My daughters are both out of the area and have to work so won't see them, my mom is buried, don't want to see that , We'll probably just go to Sam's Club and Costcoand go to a movie. I love having a man who likes to shop!

Lennie - Funeral Parlor guys! You don't know how close your discription is to some and the others are gay arond here so they'd want BF before me. Oh well. I like what I've got at home , he plays "card games" well so I'll keep him.

Lady - Sorry for those stubborn pounds. I'm with you on that and lack of ambition to exercise or anything else. Cheer up, it'll happen.

Theo'sgirl - House cleaning is good exercise, yeah right! If she doesn't like your house she doesn't have to come over Mother's day sounds like it'll be enjoyable, congrtas on the pound and glad the kids are feeling better. Nohing is worse than sick kids.

I heard that about the dad. I guess the main reason I haven't made an effort to see Family Plots is that I've heard from some that the whole tone of the show isn't atall like the FH I manage and if I see something disrespectful directed at the deceased or famlies, it'll just make me very angry. We have the contract for the Marine Base here and even the Decedent Affairs guy called me and told me how he would cringe if we were that way here. I value his opinion since he's a friend aand knows me well.

Well, last night I was busy busy busy, but it paid off in the end because I got everything done that I needed to and now I have a fresh mindset today to get all that extra work done that I made for myself. (Unfortunately, all the yesses that I got from my boss yesterday require lists and prices and comaprisons and yadda and yadda and yadda).

My BF came home from college last night FOR GOOD>>>> which means... last night he moved in. Now, I've never ever even thought of moving in with anyone before and this is just a HUGE step for both of us.... and it's so not fair, but NOW I'm freaking out. Before it seemed like no big deal... now I'm just totally flipping out. I'm a known committment phobe so this is not a big surprise to anyone but me. My best friend laughed at me today when I said I was shocked that I freaked out. Ugh. And to top it off? I' m having strange dreams. Every night this week I've had a dream that a lesbian reallllly wants me to marry her and I have to choose between her and my BF. Now, I choose my BF each and every time... but.. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????

TG: You know something... I think I know why my sister's cat pees on MY bed and not hers... He knows I'm the one who is gonna do something about it... not her... am I right? Poor kitty, she just doesn't pay enough attention to him. I think he's trying to get me to adopt him.

Rhonda what made you want to become a biology teacher ? just curious. I almost failed biology, got a D b/c the teacher felt sorry for me. Do you dysect frogs ? ICK! The one thing I remember about my biology teacher was he used to shoot rubber bands at us, he was cool.

My Biology teacher in high school inspired and challenged me and so I majored in Biology in college and then... well... I took the teaching classes just in case. I ended up takinga teaching job so I could stay close to my grandmother who had cancer and now.... it's so hard to leave. I love the kids and we have so much fun.... but I know I could be getting paid much more for a job with a LOT less headaches. So, I'm kind of torn.

Oh! I almost forgot! Yes, we do dissections we dissect

earthworm, grasshopper, yellow perch (fish), frog, fetal pig, and sometimes cats

(please don't yell at me people)

This week has totally been dragging a** for me and I'm so happy it's almost over!

Leenie - I'm jealous! DH and I see each other for about 5 minutes before we get up/go to sleep depending on what time it is. Not much time for "games".

Brenda - Hang in there! You definitely have my sympathy!

TG - Yippee on the pound! (I'm totally with you on feeling like a slug. Maybe it's the weather?)

Jina - It's about time you tried it!!! Did you get the Soy Slender? I haven't had that stuff in months, but today I'm really wanting some hot chocolate so maybe I'll go by some. It makes GREAT hot chocolate!

Shimma - Moving in! How exciting! You must be bouncing off the walls.

I'm just so happy it's Friday. I've got cleaning to do, people to see, and work to avoid.

Mother's day is not the best time for me, but I'll be going over to my mom's house on Sunday. My mom hates mother's day because she's ultra-religious and most of her kids are not even close. So she says going to church on mother's day and seeing and hearing how wonderful all those moms are makes her feel like a failure. That doesn't make me feel especially fabulous. And my own history makes mother's day a tough one for me so I just tend to lay low and wait for it to be over.

And OMG Friends!!!! I'm such a girl! I cried and cried at the end. And DH was at work, so I was all alone so I ended up going down to the bar and then giving the bartender a ride home because it was pouring out and she was going to walk and she only lives a block away from me. So I got home around 1:30 this morning. I never learn!

Shimma - I love dissections! I've done frogs,worms, fetal pigs, baby sharks, squid, oysters, fertilized chicken eggs, and pigeons. (no yelling from here)

We also did a very cool study on imprinting with baby chicks. They were all female (I named mine Hoss) and we were partnered up so we could also do a study on hormones. Have of those chicks got injected with testosterone. It was really interesting, but I'm glad I didn't have to do that to my little chickie!
