Wow. Around here buffet means not only do you get your choice of what's on the 'table', but it's all you can eat!

OMG

I'm sorry, but I find it totally funny. If you're eating 12 slices of roast beef, I don't think the concept of "portion control" has hit yet.

Thank god I hate buffets. Something about the idea of other people picking over food before I eat it.....ick!

OK. Chuck-A-Rama??? Are you kidding me? I'm surprised they had any customers in the first place with a name like that!

I saw this article earlier and almost posted it myself! I was crackin up! Wouldn't you be a bit embarressed about having gone up to the buffet 12 TIMES and then being asked to leave? And then being asked to leave a place called Chuck-A-Rama?

I'm with Star. The quickest way to get food poisoning or some other "someone has been here before me" disease is to eat at a buffet. Ask Dateline, or 20/20, they've done the tests, too.

My dh (a chef with formal training) flat out refuses to eat at a buffet. He just won't do it under *any* circumstances.

But, to be thrown out of a place called "Chuck-a-Rama" is really too much. That GM just gave himself a bigger headache than someone asking for their 13th slice of Roast Beef.

Sheesh...

Ewwwwwww sorry but Chuck-A-Rama sounds like Hurl-A-Rama to me! Oh what a gross name.

Although living in Vegas, the land of buffets, in casinos its generally ok to assume its an all you can eat buffet, even if its not posted.

Most restaurants that serve food buffet style, charge at the end of the line for the item/serving, sort of like a cafeteria.

hehe, I heard this one on the news over here. It gives Atkins a bad rap as well, many people who don't know a lot about Atkins will think we're all pigs who gorge ourselves on meat and get chucked out of "Chuck-a-rama" restaurants!

I agree with Star, what was the guy doing getting 12 slices of roast beef? Why didn't he just grab a bowl of salad and avoid the embarrassment?

I couldn't imagine going up to a buffet table 12 times for anything...but to be kicked out.... I think I would have to move.

I eat at the Hometown buffet all the time, they are really carb friendly BUT to go up 12 times DAMN they must have been stuffed! Another "Meat and cheese" person to give Atkins a bad rap!
