for years I wanted to have my breasts removed by doctors. I hate them so much !!! I wanted flat chest since I was 15.

thats is main reason why I need to lose my weight. then see what happens after I reached 100 lbs if my breasts are not gone. I will have to go plastic surgeon.

Im so tired of my heavy **** on my chest.

ummm...bmxer...do you mean breast reduction surgery? :?:

I had a friend who had her breasts reduced to suit her body shape and size...she was very happy with the results as she had been suffering from back and shoulder problems.

I would defininetly consult your regular doctor and ask for some advice from him/her before making an appointment with a plastic surgeon and do some research to see what the surgery entails and to make sure you make an informed decision.

T.V. shows like Extreme Makeover and "The Swan" make plastic surgery look like you are just going to go in and presto! everything is fixed....they do not talk about or show that there is quite often some pain involved and that people can suffer from complications, some people have actually died from those complications.

I am not against plastic surgery but people should find out everything they can before undergoing any kind of surgery so they know what they are getting into.

custom breast reduction surgery to remove almost all of my breast tissues.

mauvaisroux 04-23-2004 11:09 AM

Why would you want to remove most of your breast tissue?

Good question...and I can tell you that no plastic surgeon would do that kind of radical surgery....they'll suggest you go into therapy just like they do for transgender candidates....

bmxer - If you're looking at dropping 100 pounds, I'm sure your breast size is gonna change, but you've got to be realistic. It's not at all likely that they're gonna go away.

As for a reduction, as a voice of experience in that relm, there's only so much they can do. And Marie's right, if you really want them totally gone, they're going to have you go through quite a bit of therapy first.

Either way, I'm sure it will work out for you ;)

I've managed to lose about 17 lbs so far and it's sure taken a toll on my breasts, or what use to be my breasts! :( Have looked into having them redone once I reach my goal, I miss them!

Bmxer

About 27 years ago I had a breast reduction. Went from a 42DDD to a nice 40small C. It was such a relief to have all that weight taken off my back. I would do it again in a heart beat. I really had no pain after surgery (but I have a high tolerance to pain). Just being able to buy regular clothes and not having to order bras from special stores was so cool.

My breasts are still small (now I am about a B cup--have lost 70 pounds in the last few years and lost some more breast).

I recommend this surgury to any one who has large breasts that are painful. My back never hurt after the surgery and before I was on pain meds for the back.

Do what you feel right doing, but do find a good surgeon, someone you personally feel comfortable with.

There are plastic surgeons who will do surgery.
