Plastic Surgery?
Alrighty, I don't want to start any kind of debate or anything.
Are any of you planning on doing anything plastic surgery wise to yourself after you reach your goal or anytime during the journey? I will probably end up getting some kind of Breast augmentation. Not sure if that means making them bigger or just fixing them back to the right spot. I DO know that I will more than likely end up doing something though. I hate the way my breasts look and always have so that will be my gift to myself. I am seriously afraid that after losing 90lbs I will have to have loose skin removed so I am really working the excersize angle. I'm just curious about everyone else. ;) |
Well, I decided and have my fiances blessing, that if after losing my weight I also lose a lot in the way of breast size, then Im going to look into augmentation...nothing crazy, just back to where I am now...in the past I had some lyposuction to sculpt after some weight loss, and I would NEVER do that again...the procedure went fine, but what no one tells you is that the fat has to go SOMEWHERE if its not going where they removed it....so if you gain any weight back, even your bigger clothes that used to fit you, now dont fit you RIGHT because youre built differently.

I'd love to have my whole body done but then I'm scared to death. My belly and boobs would be the first. Would be nice to wear a short shirt or tuck one in :( But knowing me I don't think I'd spend the $$$ to have it done, maybe a good girdle lol ;)
Marie, never thought about liposuction and what you said eeeegads. |
I would love to have my boobs put back to where they used to hang. lol. I keep having to remind my DH that they're not "up there" anymore  j/k. They actually aren't the perky teen type that's for sure!!! But I can't see myself spending the $$ to get them that way again---and not sure I'd want to
|
I am for sure gonna need a tummy tuck, loosing all thsi weight and 2 kids, its a little saggy!! :)
|
i don't think i'll ever get plastic surgery, it scares me. haha. i think i'm a little too young/unsure about it anyway. but i'd looooove to have a breast reduction.
|
I agree with modestmouse, 100%. Plastic surgery is scary and icky, I don't know how people can do that to themselves. But I'd love these puppies to be just a shade smaller ;)
|
I would love to get excess skin removed once I reach my goal weight, I know my upper arms are going to need it, I can see that already.. and my tummy for sure, maybe my thighs.. however I doubt I'll ever have the funds to do such.. but I can dream :)
|
hey this is a great question. i want to go on the show "extreme makeover" and get everything fixed at one time. that is what i haven't already fixed by extreme exercising and loosing the weight. being big for so long and 3 kids has made my stomach sag extremely, the jiggle under my arms, the excess skin on my inner thighs, and getting my breasts back where the good Lord meant for them to be is just about what i am going to expect to need done, but hey if i never make it on the show, oh well, by the time i get to goal i will have lost at least 200 lbs, so i believe i will be happy with a little saggy skin.

I'm all for plastic surgery! I had a breast reduction 4 years ago - best 4 or 5 pounds I've ever lost! I'll go on a huge happy rant about it if I'm not careful, but it was so completely worth it.
I've had lasik now, too. Does that count? As for future stuff, I don't know. I'd like to have a tummy tuck, but that will have to wait until after babies happen. Maybe a facial peel? I won't go near lipo. They did a little bit on my sides when I got the boobs done (just part of the procedure to make them look right). That :censored: hurts! I had bruises for a month after that. Yikes! |
Lipo sucks ;)
|
I'd like to have some plastic surgery done -- maybe an increase in the boob area! I started losing weight, and they started shrinking! :( Actually, I'd be OK with them if they stayed at the size they are now, but I've still got 30 pounds to lose, and I'm afraid they'll keep shrinking. Of course, the idea of a breat augmentation is just dreaming for me because of the cost! Oh, well...
|
I do the botox thing between my eyes because I get headaches, but it sure looks better too :)....I had lips like a muppet ( Im not kidding) so I had implants put in...they migrated a little but Im happy with them...and now I dont just have a slash where my mouth is-lol....and I know it's not plastic surgery, but my eyebrows and liner are tattooed on, and thats the best money I ever spent :)

Permanant makeup! I'd love that!

I guess it depends on what I need when I reach where I want to be. I am not exactly well endowed... got up to a good C cup when I was preggers. I have always considered plastic surgery, never had any but also haven't been able to afford it.
As I said depending on what I need done after reaching goal and maintaining for a good while. Boobs done and placed back where they use to be. Lipo to the inside and outside of thighs, hips, and belly. Tummy tuck. Am still considering braces. Definitely need dermabrasion and or laser peeling (due to the affects of birth control on my skin pigment on my face) I am not a vain person in all truth of the matter but I have always been self conscious of my figure and my thighs have been my bain since I was a kid- if I don't do anything else I want to have them and my hip/buttock area done. |
for years I wanted to have my breasts removed by doctors. I hate them so much !!! I wanted flat chest since I was 15.
thats is main reason why I need to lose my weight. then see what happens after I reached 100 lbs if my breasts are not gone. I will have to go plastic surgeon. Im so tired of my heavy **** on my chest. |
ummm...bmxer...do you mean breast reduction surgery? :?:
I had a friend who had her breasts reduced to suit her body shape and size...she was very happy with the results as she had been suffering from back and shoulder problems. I would defininetly consult your regular doctor and ask for some advice from him/her before making an appointment with a plastic surgeon and do some research to see what the surgery entails and to make sure you make an informed decision. T.V. shows like Extreme Makeover and "The Swan" make plastic surgery look like you are just going to go in and presto! everything is fixed....they do not talk about or show that there is quite often some pain involved and that people can suffer from complications, some people have actually died from those complications. I am not against plastic surgery but people should find out everything they can before undergoing any kind of surgery so they know what they are getting into. |
custom breast reduction surgery to remove almost all of my breast tissues.
|
Why would you want to remove most of your breast tissue?
|
Good question...and I can tell you that no plastic surgeon would do that kind of radical surgery....they'll suggest you go into therapy just like they do for transgender candidates....
|
bmxer - If you're looking at dropping 100 pounds, I'm sure your breast size is gonna change, but you've got to be realistic. It's not at all likely that they're gonna go away.
As for a reduction, as a voice of experience in that relm, there's only so much they can do. And Marie's right, if you really want them totally gone, they're going to have you go through quite a bit of therapy first. Either way, I'm sure it will work out for you ;) |
I've managed to lose about 17 lbs so far and it's sure taken a toll on my breasts, or what use to be my breasts! :( Have looked into having them redone once I reach my goal, I miss them!

Bmxer
About 27 years ago I had a breast reduction. Went from a 42DDD to a nice 40small C. It was such a relief to have all that weight taken off my back. I would do it again in a heart beat. I really had no pain after surgery (but I have a high tolerance to pain). Just being able to buy regular clothes and not having to order bras from special stores was so cool. My breasts are still small (now I am about a B cup--have lost 70 pounds in the last few years and lost some more breast). I recommend this surgury to any one who has large breasts that are painful. My back never hurt after the surgery and before I was on pain meds for the back. Do what you feel right doing, but do find a good surgeon, someone you personally feel comfortable with. |
There are plastic surgeons who will do surgery.
