We survived Monday!!! Unfortuantely the week's not half over. Can you tell I want the weekend to come? I really don't feel like working. The nice boss'll be gone from Wednesday on. So that means I get stuck working with the witch---and I tend to be...what's the word....cranky? Outspoken? Rude? Obnoxious? Any one of those would do in describing me when I work with her alone. That's cuz she's a pain in my royal butt!! Hmm... "I think I'm sick" OH!!! Stepped on the scale. Stupid thing! Even after all the "snacking" I've done the silly thing is DOWN a pound. Does that mean I should CONTINUE to snack???

Have a great day to all!!!

Oh Brenda even with all the complaining you do about not doing good on your diet your losing weight, girly you MUST be doing something right ?? Come on you can tell me lol . You really are an inspiration to me.

Good Morning Chickies,

Its a beautiful day here in NJ. I just spoke to my boss (soon to be exboss) and I told her how happy I was that she got a promotion and how much I would miss her (oh sorry I didn't tell you all this happened last week). I was in tears for days I even blew my diet last friday I was just so upset I snarfed down 2 donuts and chips and didn't even taste it Its amazing how one little thing can trigger the brain to say ahhhh SCREW IT!!! I've been really down about this and I'm not taking an interest in my eating I can't let this get the best of me thats for sure.

Anyway, you all have a wonderful day and I'll stop boring you with my nonsense.

HUGS and SMOOCHIES

Good Morning Brenda and all to come

I havent been around much lately, but its not because Im not OP. Things are going pretty good. Ive been busy in my kitchen, and its taking alot longer than I thought. (of course) Under some other wall paper I found old glue marks left by some old fake brick that was up. You can still see the pattern!!!!! Im not sure how Im going to fix this, but hopefully it will be ok. I managed to fix the hole in the ceiling from the old light fixture. Hubby was impressed!!

I have an advertising campaign to put together today for the street my store is on. Last night at the assoc meeting we got approval and $1000 budget for the first month. Not a big campaign, but for our little street, its a huge step in the right direction!! Finally ppl are getting involved in making the street a bustling shopping area. On the down side though, we have decided to close our store at the end of May. The overhead is just too much without the people coming in to shop. So by the end of may we will have an online store instead. The $$ we put into rent we can spend on advertising instead. Hubby's sign business is doing well, (which is the back half of the store) but his business is all from his contacts and very few actually come into the store. So the attic is going to get a face lift and thats where his new office will be. Thats the next project after the kitchen!

I think I better go get another cup of coffee and get caught up on what all you ladies have been up to.

Have a great day
Robin

Brenda: I'm with Leenie. You're definitely doing something very right! Look at all the weight you've lost. Sometimes I don't think your "slips" are as bad as you might think they are. You're hard on yourself. Just keep up the good work!

Leenie: I'm sorry to hear about your boss leaving. It sounds like it's really bothering you. I hope things work out OK. Hugs!

RobinH: Your kitchen sounds like an adventure! I can't wait to see pictures.

Well, I saw the damage last night -- I'm up two pounds to 182. YUCK! I'm not letting it get any higher than that! I have all kinds of new motivation -- everything from DH to swimming suits to tank tops to a lady that lost 100 pounds in one year. I surely can lose 32 more pounds!

For TOPS, you have to get a goal slip from your doctor. I'm a little worried about this. I mean, I guess the doctor knows best, but what if I think it's too high or I get to the goal, and I'm not happy? I've hesitated about going to the doctor. I figure I'll get fairly close to what I think my goal should be, and then go.

Well, I hope everyone has a fabulous Tuesday!

Take care,
Jina

I'm back! After a long weekend I finally get to check in.

I read yesterdays posts......sounded kind of quiet.

I took yesterday off to go to the Boston Marathon. Got a great picture of the co-worker that was running it. The weather was awesome....even got a little color...well burn....is that a color?

Eating was atrocious....we won't go there. But back on plan. Brought some extra cheese today to take care of the cravings.

Brenda: Glad you seem to be doing better than yesterday Congrats on the loss!

Leenie: You really do need a hug Smoochies back!

RobinH: You are so making me want to start working on my master bedroom! I have such high ceilings in there that it is freaking me out! You will have to send pictures when it is done. Sorry to hear about your closing your shop. Did you mention before what it was?

Well, since I was out yesterday I have a lot of work to catch up on. Will check in later.

Good morning ladies!!!

Well last night TOM hit me like a TON of bricks, cramps and that kinda stuff but no cravings so far....hummmm (knock on wood) and I am all crampy but no bloat hmmmmm. Strange. Doing totally fine on induction and keeping the carb counts low low low. I sure am anxious to weigh myself after this week, my pnats are getting pretty loose! PLUS I notice muscles REAL MUSCLES sprouting up all over the place, arms and legs and even a faint one under the tummy fat!!! WOW I guess all those 7 mile days at the gym are paying off!!!! YIPPEEEEEEEE

Jane the boston marathon that sounds FUN!!

Jina I know you can do it 32 pounds no problem!!

Robin good to hear from you!

Brenda Congrats on the pound!!

OH Leenie, its ok it will all settle down soon.

Have a great day ladies,
LOve TG

Morning All!

Boy am I dragging this morning! Ugh! Sinuses are backed up and I have a bladder infection brewing that I just finally managed to get under control as far as feeling like I gotta go all the time.... Ugh. Other than that, the house that the BF and I were looking at is horribly overpriced. We decided to wait a few months and then put an offer in since it's been on the market for half a year already and they will NEVER sell it at that price unless they find a complete idiot... and in that case, I have some oceanfront property here in IL I would love to sell them! I'm in pretty good spirits though, aside from all the complaining. I'm OP after a weekend with a few slip ups and I'm feeling pretty good.

Leenie: It's never nonsense if it's important to you. I feel for ya though, I know what it's like to lose a boss you absolutely LOVE and adore.... looking on the bright side... perhaps you'll love the new boss even more. At any rate, I'm sure it will be a growing experience and I know you'll get through it.

Brenda: If snacking makes you lose weight... maybe you're not getting enough calories in a day. I've been trying to keep CLOSE track of mine on fitday. I aim for 1200 a day. Congrats on the pound!

Robin: Sorry to hear about the store... but you never know... you could really take off with the internet!!! Good luck!

Jina: don't worry about the extra weight... get back on plan and it will be off in a week or 2!!!!

Jane: Sounds like you had fun! Any color is good

Morning everyone!
I had the most miserable time at the gym yesterday. It was over 80 degrees outside and they hadn't turned on the AC, so by the time I got done with my ususal easy workout (35 min elliptical) I was about ready to keel over and die. The worst part was I was bored out of my mind. I brought The Ramones because there was one song I had stuck in my head and I figuired they'd be high energy, but I forgot how monotonous they can be. If you ask me, I think that having the right music is the key to a successful workout. I may make myself a new CD for today.

Brenda- I know what you mean about the stupid scale. Oftentimes in school I'll not put forth my best effort, or make mistakes, and still recieve really high grades, and it drives me crazy because I feel like the reward should come when I do try really hard, and things like that just encourage me to goof off more.

Robin- When I redid my room last summer I literally spent a month sanding off glue from the walls. But, I think you may be able to get some kind of solvent that will disolve it. Good luck.

Jina- I've been meaning to ask this for a while, but what is TOPS?

Jane- Was yesterday not the most amazingly warm day every. Today too. Just want to go live outside or something. Glad you had a good time at the marathon. I wanted to go watch but class got in the way.

TG- Yeah muscles! Seven miles at the gym is pretty amazing. You really deserve the results you've achieved.

Shimma- Sorry you're under the weather. But serioulsy, oceanfront property in Illinois? Is it near public transportation? How much per month?

Well, I have important Bio Lab results to fabricate, so I hope you all have a lovely and productive day.

Abbie: Sorry to hear they weren't the kindest at you gym. Hopefully the next time is better.

Shimma: I hear you about the sinuses. The constant weather change here is about to drive me up the wall. Hope you feel better soon.

TG: Sorry to hear about the cramps. Have you ever tried those menstrual cramps heating pads? I don't remember who makes them (there's 2 different brands) but they work WONDERS for me! And they last a long time!!

Jane: The Boston marathon sounds cool. Yup, I count sunburn as a color. It's the only color I usually am in the summer (well, that and white)

Jina: Wouldn't your doctor discuss with you a goal and let you have an input of what it should be? Sometimes I wonder if mine is realistic.

Robin: Sorry to hear you have to close your shop. But an online shop sounds like an excellent way to at least keep it open. And just think of the fun you'll have creating the website

Leenie: I'm not sure what I'm doing. Well, except for Easter everything I've eaten is low carb. So maybe that's it? Or else I'm just being incredibly lucky? Yup, that one I believe the most. Sorry to hear you're sad about you boss. if you need an ear, feel free to pm me

Well, another day of work is done. WOOHOO!!! Only 3 more to go. Dang I can't wait for the weekend!! It's time to go shopping (allergy meds for youngest DD). Have a great afternoon!!!

Hi again!

Genghis: I soooo remember the days of fabricating bio lab reports. And I sooooooo don't envy you. I hated those things!!!

Brenda: The weather change, pollen in the air and the shedding of my cat is making my sinuses (and allergies) so incredibly bad right now. It's horrifying. Hope yours aren't nearly as bad as mine are.

Where is Trazzie??? Have I missed her reporting on the wedding?

The BF and I are planning a little weekend trip and I'm so excited. We're not going anywhere too far away, just to the Dells and it's mainly just to get away for a weekend. He'll have just finished college and we always feel like we have so many obligations here that we rarely just relax and enjoy each other's company. It should be a lot of fun.... mainly drinking, playing mini golf and gambling on top of sleeping in and stuff

Hope everyone's day is going well!

Abbie: TOPS is a weightloss group/club. It stands for Taking Off Pounds Sensibly. I guess it's kind of similar to Weight Watchers, but it's non-profit, so it doesn't cost a fortune, and you don't have to follow a particular plan. I need it, so I am accountable to weighing in each week.
