Don't cheat on your induction - you're just cheating yourself! I know it's tempting, I've been seriously tempted myself. But the point of induction is to get your body into ketosis (the fat burning state) if you drink, you're just going to delay it or derail it.
Be strong!

Well, it's entirely up to you. But if you're not going to stick to this WOE (seems excuses could come up left and right) for the two weeks.....are you able to do it for the rest of your life? Remember, this is a NEW way of eating. A new way of life. Things aren't like they used to be. But the choice is yours (there's always starting from scratch!!)

I dont know about other people, but when I was on induction last summer, any alcohol made me EXTREMELY ill. The first time I was drinking vodka and the second time Michelob Ultra. After about 3 drinks, my stomach felt awful, I wasn't like drunk sick, I was in physical pain. I don't know if it was the lack of carbs in my body to absorb the liquor, or the fact that I had lost 20 pounds and there was just less of me to handle it. Just thought I would warn you! Oh, and when my boyfriend was on induction, he would get WASTED off about 1/4 of what it would usually take, so its not just a girl thing!

Frodo, I feel your pain. I'm a total lush and not drinking at all was tough! My husband was working at a bar on weekends so I was spending every Friday and Saturday night in a bar drinking ice water w/limes. FOR 6 WEEKS!!!
It's your choice, but the mental commitment is important. There will be other occasions for drunkeness (there alway is!) If I can do it for 6 weekends in a bar, I'm sure you can make it for one more week. Besides, do you have any idea of how much fun it is to mess with the drunks when you're sober?

lol yes but it is going to be so great, I think I will drink just to get buzzed like a few shots or something, I don't see how this could screw it up completly. This will be the last time on induction I drink. I will bump induction up to a 1 month period now.
It says after induction you can drink as long as there is no carbs or you count etc..
the 0carbs in the hard stuff should be ok?

Here's the thing about alcohol:
Alcohol is the easiest thing for your body to burn and therefore the #1 fuel choice if it's available.
So, when you drink alcohol your body will stop burning fat and other calories long enough to burn the alcohol. It won't kill you, but it can slow you down or stop you.

Here's my favorite drunk test:
Go up to a person and say "Quick! Ask me if I'm an orange!"
They'll say (or slur) "Are you an orange?"
Look at them strangely and say "No"
If they laugh hysterically at that, they're drunk
