I emailed the head person of the morning show I listen to. This is what I wrote:

To make this short, I'm not sure who said it this morning (it might have been Jenny) about Atkins being a "meat and cheese" diet. I think they're wrongly informed and should check out the Atkins website to see all the foods that a person CAN eat on Atkins before making that statement.

I hate that too! I have a co-worker who is constantly trying to get me to eat fruit! She never did this until she found out I am doing Atkins. Do These people think we are going do die of heart explosions or something? I tried explaining to her that I didn't like fruit in the first place, but she went on and on about the nutrients in the fruit. I showed her the viatnutrients in the Atkins vitamins, but that isn't good enough. She said you can't eat meat and cheese all of the time! I try explaining to people how balanced Atkins is, but they only hear what they want to.

There was a news segment in Houston last year talking about Atkins, the pros-and cons. A prominent doctor in Houston said that Atkins is a good diet, and if you follow the food pyramid, you are guaranteed to GAIN weight because of the amount of carbs.

So help me God, if that woman shoves another piece of fruit in my face!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a lady like that at work too, I just asked her how not eating sugar and white flour was going to kill me?? She said my gall bladder was going to go out, i said well I will get it removed and still be skinny!

LOL. I don't remember eating much fruit even before Atkins. The only difference in my "diet" is that I'm now eating less junk food and more lettuce. I'm trying to figure out the bad in that.

Now if I could only get up the guts to tell my wicked witch boss what the meaning of "privacy act" is!! The stupid idget was giving out someone's information! I mean OMG!! That is SO not right! But any way I looked at how I said it, it wasn't nice But I believe SOMETHING needs to be done. I left out a flier on "privacy acts" with things underlined and highlighted. Hoping she gets the hint. But she's such a dumb git she won't figure it pertains to her. She thinks the privacy act is a joke. If I didn't value the job I have (well, at the moment anyway) I'd call the commisioner of insurance!!!! Then they'd get a fine.
