Just took a trip to a low carb store near work. I haven't been there in a while. Found some new treats. Picked up some Splenda sweetend cranberry sauce. I am a sucker for cranberry sauce with my chicken. It only 2 carbs in 1 tbs...not great but not bad. It will work in a pinch. Also picked up some 1 gram taco shells. Of course half the box is broken so I had to taste them with my lunch. THEY ARE SO GOOD. Could even use them as chips....well at least the broken ones. The last thing I got was some 1 gram sesame bagels. I have bought this companies rolls before but not the bagels. It still blows my mind that they can make them with 5 carbs and 4 fiber to come out to 1 gram. Oh well.....I don't do these kinds of foods very often but it is nice to have a treat once in a while.

Correction!!!!! That is 2.5 grams per bagel. The label says a serving is 1oz.!!!!

Don't get me wrong....2.5 for a whole bagel makes Jane a very happy girl...not as happy as 1 gram but still very happy.

I usually don't have time to respond to everyone individually, but I want to wish everyone a wonderful weekend. TGIF!!

This week has been horrible for me. I have been doing great on the diet, but my personal life has been horrible! I may lose my job today, so please say a prayer for me!

Catgirl: I will say a prayer for you! I've been dealing with a lot of personal struggles myself. Sometimes I think that eating OP and exercising are the only things that make me sane. While everything else is falling apart, at least I can keep a handle on those things. I've been doing the best I've ever done on Atkins the last weeks. It's also been some of the worst, personally. Hang in there!

Star: Glad to see you check in, and I'm glad the WHOOSH fairy paid a visit!

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY HERE AT LAST!
My oh my what a bunch of chatter boxes here today I'll apologize now for not being able to make personals, reading all the posts has put me behind in time.

TOM is kickin my big ole patootie this week. Gosh what is so diffrent, the cravings are insane! The munchies are unstopable! I feel like I have been so bad! Well I have a little bit but nothing compared to what it could have been. I ran to Walgreens and yes there is an angel watching over me, they had ZCarb bars in stock. I knew I would be walking out of there with chocolate at least I grabbed those. Had one the day before yesterday and yesterday.. DELISH! it was exactly what I needed. So yes I was bad for eating them, but no I have not gone to indulge in the sinfully Carbs as of yet. To top that all off I had an icecream fit, thank goodness I picked up these "Skinny Carb Bars" Butter Pecan and Vanilla flavored. It seemed more like a cross between whipped cream and soft serve on a stick but with only 4g's. I was happy I didn't break down and hit up the Dairy Queen with the kids. It satisfied me.
I have decided that this week has been just to much to handle so after TOM is gone I am going to go back on strict induction for at least a week to get things moving again. As it's looking now .. the scale beast is scaring me to much to get close to it. Let's hope by Wed. things will have changed

Hi everyone!

Hello to all the people that I haven't met yet (I've been gone for a long time - it feels like forever, but I think it's only been a week or two). I apologize for not taking the time to reply to everyone's posts, but there are always so many by the end of the day. And TGIF! Finally! What a week.

So, I have not really been on Atkins lately, as I mentioned when I popped in last week, and I was blaming it on being overly busy and stressed and everything, but then I realized that those were just excuses. And I want to be better than that. So, this weekend I'll do a good shopping trip and re-stock on all my Atkins friendly items and try to think of ways to prepare things so that I can have ready made stuff for those days that I work late at school or at work. That's where I really go bad ... those days that I don't go home for supper.

Oh, this week coming up I'm going to play squash with a couple of friends of mine. I'm not sure what posessed me to say 'sure'. Well, actually, I do want to try it, but I can't believe that I agreed to go with these two friends in particular. One is a marathon runner and the other runs about 10km a day. Hee. That ain't me. Should be interesting.

I can't believe the lovely, lovely weather that we've been having lately! Although I'm still keeping myself mentally prepared for that snowstorm that always seems to hit by the beginning of April.

This weekend there is the St. Patrick's Day parade here in Montreal. It's a major event here, it's their biggest parade of the year. I was listening on the radio this morning and a couple of guys from Scotland and a couple from Ireland were on and they fly here *every* year during the week around St. Patrick's Day since they enjoy it so much! Crazy! Although they had great accents.

I'm rather excited too, because I've been talking with my friends about some travel plans this summer. See, at some point when I submit my thesis, there will be a period of about 4-6 weeks where someone is reviewing it and I basically have to wait for that. So during that time I'll partly be looking for a job (probably) and the rest of the time I'd like to do something fun. I want to take a long weekend to go to NYC and I want to go out east again, to PEI and Nova Scotia, probably for about a week. I mentioned this to my friends and I was surprised that a couple of them practically committed themselves already to coming! Great, I love road trips, especially with good company.

Awww thanks Jane. I don't think I am particularly wise. I was just lucky enough to make it through with my parents and stepmom and have decent relations with all of them. My mom to this day won't own up to her part in the mayhem but my dad and stepmom were able to pull out of it and we have a really good relationship. It takes time and the smartest thing my stepmom did was yank me up by the short hairs and demand her rightful respect. I hope it works out as well for you and your hubby!!!! Good luck.

OMG LADIES!!!!!!
I just ate pizza for lunch WITH THE CRUST and it is the best thing ever, there's a pizza place inside of our supermarket Winco, the pizza place is called Leonardo's and they have LC pizza it is a personal size pizza and the whole thing has 8 carbs!!!!! It was sooooooo good, not to mention it only cost.....ready......get this.......$2.78!!!!!

Hey to all the chicks who have checked in today, I read all of your posts and will have to say that is ALOT of posts, it is great! I am sooooo happy to see all of you doing so well and thank you Karen for your support note, I was just about to say that myself and you took the words right off my keyboard (great minds think alike!! ) Talk to you all tomorrow I have a TON of houswork and 2 very cranky boys to deal with!!
