  • Good Morning Everyone!
Today got off to a good start. Had a meeting with a professor that I was really nervous about, but all went well and she's agreed to let me take Friday's exam on Thursday since I will be out of town. Also still managing to stay away from the scale, but I may weigh myself tomorrow morning. Called my grandmother to discuss what I can and can't eat while I visit. She's usually very accomodating in getting me whatever I want and we tend to eat out a lot so I'm not particularly worried. Today's going to be really busy since I'm trying to do as much work as possible before I go.

Theo's Girl- enjoy spring! There's nothing like nice weather to make you feel happy.

Jane- your picture is absolutely lovely!

Michelle- good luck staying away from those horrible misleading candies.

Brenda- congratualtions on the loss! I must say, I'm a little bit curious about what an antler ring is.

Tummy- Glad to hear that the strawberries are going well.

Bizzy- Lucky you. I've never even seen atkins bread.

Catgirl- I know what you mean about exercise. Best mood elevator around.

Trazzie- Congratualtions on your loss. I'm sure by now you're out of bed, so congratulations on that too. Sometimes it's a real accomplishment.

Well, I have a book that needs to be read by 2, so have a great day everyone!
    Abbie
  • Abbie: an antler ring is a ring made of a deers antlers. It's actually very pretty.

TG: Thanks for the reminder to check the chats from the night before. I keep forgetting to do that!!

    Southerngirl:

Robin: welcome back and join in anytime

Summer: I think it's natural to loosen up from time to time. As long as you don't go overboard and then get back to being on track I don't see the problem with it. In fact I did that for 3 weeks (well, hadn't realised I had done it ) when I had added sunflower seeds and tomatoes to my salads. Good luck getting back on track.

Well, I've bought the ice cream & the waffle "bowls". I've got the newsletter and the agenda printed up for the Brownie meeting today. Only to think--why bother? They're going to be taking their time eating ice cream, why sweat it. It's a gorgeous day, take it easy. So decided they can socialise while eating and then we can talk about what to do for their bridging (they'll be Junior GS next year) ceremony. Sounds like a plan to me!!!
  • Brenda.....where did you order it from? This sounds so cool and something that might sell very well in my gift shop.
  • Robin: I went looking for the guys card but I can't find it. I know he has a website and I was going to give that to you, but can't find that information either. I'm thinking when I sent to exchange the sizes I sent all that information back to him. I'll make sure to let you know when we get the new rings in as I'm sure the information will come back with it. Sorry I couldn't help right now.
  • OK thanks, that would be great
  • boy it is awfully quiet around here lately.

I have just been surfing around reading different articles on Atkins and Low Carb. Some interesting stuff out there.
  • Quote: Thanks Michelle. I hate pictures of me....never happy with how I look.

I am getting email notification today...strange.

Welcome Robin, sure is a lot of new people the last week. You will all enjoy coming here. I know it has been a lot of fun and inspiration to me.
Well you are pretty! So just post those pictures. I understand though. I hate all pictures of myself. It is so weird how hard we are on ourselves and we would never be that hard on anyone else. *sigh*
  • Just when you think life is going to calm down.. it throws you a HUGE curveball!

My 7 Year old is the one who gave me that darn sinus infection. And now the infection has tweeked his immune system and is now causing him to have HIVES!!!!! UGH. The doctor today told me that he may have daily flare ups for as long as 6 months! You should have seen his back when he got out of the shower tonight! Poor little guy.. he is only 7! He shouldnt have to deal with that! Good thing he is on Zyrtec and hydrocortizone cream now... at least he will be comfortable!

So of course mom has been runnng around like a chicken with her head cut off today!

I was hoping to check in sooner. DH is back tonight. He just called now and is at the airport. He should be home in an hour or so! YIPPEE!!! I need a hug bad!

Sophie, our new puppy is keeping me busy too. SHe is 4.5 months old now and up to 35 pounds or so. BUT the good news is that I think we have her house broken completely now! Thank goodness! Talk about STRESS CITY with that!

I have decided that I need to start back on Strict Induction again. Just for 2 solid weeks. I am suddenly having sweet cravings and am eating FAR too many Atkins bars a week. That has to end. I am sure TOM due any day now isnt helping, but it has been going on for a little while now.

I plan to check in tmo morning... hopefully with a hive free son!
